Selling Tonali and buying/selling Reindeers are the best things this club has done in the last 2 years.

Sell them while they're overvalued / overperforming. Reindeers has been productive, but we had chronic issues at midfield and he was not the solution.

1. He just renewed till 2030. If he decided to walk away he would be able to do so 5 years from now.

2. We do have chronic midfield issues, and he was the guaranteed starer quality player.
Now we have to sign 3 starter quality midfielders. What are the chances of that happening?

Theo and Leao renewed as well. Then they had a drop in form and all of a sudden we were left with tanked market values and heavy salaries.
El Shaa, Pato, Tomori, Maignan....the examples are many of Milan players that were kept until they became bench warmers, damaged goods or extortionists.

He's not starter quality for double pivot systems. His weaknesses contributed to our midfield issues.
Allegri wants defensively sound midfielders. I'm not sure Tijani is his preferred type of mezz'ala in a midfield 3 - at least when he has passengers like Leao up front.
