Wait wait wait. You're telling me we're allowed to make substitutes and start different formations in different games?

And what about injuries? Can we start different players if one gets injured too???

Squad construction bro...

Releasing Jovic and Camarda really leaves us light upfront... Fuck knows what DaPlan is in that department.

Okafor redemption season!!!

Even if u’re often right bout many things, think can disagree bout Loftus.

Esp in 2023/24 he had many good games n not only against PSG but also twice against Bologna, Roma or Cagliari, aso. Also in Europa League he was crucial. Saw more good games of Loftus than Theo in the last two n a half years pretty quickly n Loftus had significantly fewer games.

Tare's words don't read like #FineAsWeAre. At least the words indicate the following problems have been recognized:

- Lack of game control

- Lack of intelligence, experience n leadership in the squad

- Defensive midfield or rather the composition of the midfield was disastrous

- Full Backs was a disaster too (excl Jimenez)

But it's also clear that all the words mean nothing if they don't act coherently on transfer market.
So we keep the majority of the culprits that were part of these problems and a huge reason we finished 8th?

Sell Deers, Theo, maybe Mike, release a berry useful Jovic, but make RLC and integral part of our plans?

Lol

Who is a similar striker to Giroud - Lucca at Udinese? Surely out of our price range.

I get what you're saying but it's laced with copium.

I'm completely over the guy and just want to move on.

He's unreliable, between him and Ben that's an expensive bench sat in the treatment room.

Fucking move him to Futuro... The guy obviously has a delusional idea of himself and these sort of media clips aren't going to help us, forget him, what do we need?

Not Ben or RLC that's for sure.

I thought management were ruthless, look at how there's handling some other players? I just don't get why we want to keep some and hang others out to dry.

Being stuck with a bunch of bit part players, who cost us a fortune, I just can't.

I'd bet money that fucking Pobega would get 10 goals if deployed like RLC and given the minutes, £10k on the table!!!

At least Pobega is cheap and homegrown. RLC, I just can't anymore!!!
Rlc is legit world class

For the opponents

Please tell me you don’t actually believe that some Italian fodder like Lucca is actually good

The most Giroud-y striker I can think of is Zapata but iirc he's still out cause his knee's fked

Very pleased with Tare's press conference, addressed all our needs and what must be done for us to get better. I think his presence in the locker room and at Milanello will be crucial in regards to players' behaviours and attitudes. They will not feel left out while at the same time will understand that stuff they did last season will not be tolerated. They will be forced to work hard for the jersey or sit on the bench.

I also appreciate his dialog with Leao, how he's central to the project and can get even better. The kind of talk that instills confidence in the player and trust in the new SD, a serious calcio man who tells it like it is. I think one of the problems last season was the lack of respect of the people in charge but that should change with Tare and Allegri, men of experience and a track record of of success. Hope so, anyway.

I thought of him as well, very good in the air but not really known for his hold-up play. Among the Italians I would choose Kean but he's way more expensive than Lucca who could probably be had for around 25 milions.

Feel much more positive about the club's chances of success because we now have a clear vision and a system in place led by capable people.

Why do you and others bother mentioning their nationality or the league they're in?
So a players nation means they're automatically shit?
Italy - 4 time world cup winners, 2 times losing finalist. 2 time Euro winners, 2 time losing finalist. So wash your mouth out.

Donnarumma, Bastoni, Dimarco, Tonali, Barella all elite players too.

Back to Lucca, what are the facts? He's young for a striker. Room to improve. In a very bad Udinese team, he netted 12 league goals in 33 apps. How many goals is it until he counts as good? Or is that impossible for an Italian? ;)

Matches are won and lost in the midfield, I fucking love this approach we're taking.

Overload the midfield with strong character, engine and ability to control the tempo of the match.

You don't need to do too much in defense, when you have a strong midfield. We still need defensive adjustments and additions, but you'll need way fewer and what you have will perform much better, if the midfield is controlling everything

Actually, his hold up is good from what I see. He has incredible feet for a giant. A poor mans Ibra.
I knew of him and wanted us to get him when he was in Serie B. I thought he'd become even better than he has. Still room to improve though as he's young for a striker.
I heard some transfer experts saying 40mil+ would be needed for Lucca and that Napoli were most keen, so that's why I felt we wouldn't get him.
But I can't think of a striker like Giroud that seems realistic.

From the season 2026-27 the writing Visit Congo will be on our kit, the numbers are confirmed 14 million per year

I aint going back thru all the pages, but pretty wild that you "released" Tare's interview hours and hours before the Milan journos.
Keep shit coming

I think Scamacca should be considered. I always felt he was the closest replacement of Ibrahimovic (with regards to characteristics, not quality). He and Scalvini has kind of been forgotten due to not playing much last year because of their ACL-injuries.

How about the future of Rafael Leao?

“I consider him an important pawn in our project: he has everything to become a true champion. He has always shown it but I think he hasn’t shown what he really can yet. Offers? We haven’t received anything yet: the interests are all market rumours.”
Not a single offer for our Superstar?!

It may be the delusion in me speaking, but I think Furlani learned his lesson from last season and next season we will be fighting for the Scudetto. Quite honestly, we should win it, mostly because of the advantage that we do not have EU competitions which will allow us to be fresh all the time and will not make us bloat the roster with fodder just to have any fictional rotation options. This Napoli roster is full of garbage and still managed to win it. Why can't we do it too?
Allegri is a proven coach. Surely not a dream come true, but better than anyone we have hired since... Allegri. Conceicao was also a legit profile, but as I said numerous times during his early days, he is not a caretaker and it showed.
Tare is also a proven director. He never had the chance to work in a big team with decent budget, but at least he knows the league and the other presidents. He will surely find it easier to buy talents locally than Furlani himself who was, is and will always be a nobody in the football world.
Forcing Theo out is a big dick decision and I approve it. The guy has been horrible for years and considering his contract situation, keeping him would've been pretty stupid. Either renewal (apparently impossible) or a sale. The fact that it was only one Saudi club (and Atletico to an extend) truly interested in him tells you everything you need to know. From 'the best LB in the world' shouts 2-3 years ago to being so garbage that when he is available for cheap, there is no serious club interested. And he is in prime years. Just zoom out and think about this downfall. Getting 25 m from this situation is incredible.
I don't like that they sold Reijnders, but honestly, we don't have many players to sell that can generate big money. Leao, Reijnders and maybe Pulisic. That's it. Pulisic will never be sold before the WC, while Rafa is the 'star' (don't get me started). There was only one possibility.
I expect a massive clean up and a fresh start with decent spending

Getting 14 m per season for a sleeve/back sponsor after this horrific season is truly exceptional. Till now it was 5-6-7 m/year.

Keeping Jovic and Camarda would change nothing. We would still be light upfront since neither contributed anything. This way we at least have to go out and find someone and no excuses how squad is already filled.
