I think Inter beat us 6 times in a row at one point so it was nice that we won 3 and drew one last season, the most positive thing we did.

We advanced to the Coppa Italia final and looked unmotivated and lazy losing to Bologna which took us out of the Europa League. Being a fan doesn't mean you have to suck up to management even when they have proven to be highly incompetent, or defend the club at any cost.

I think hes more pragmatic if anything. Playing Leao more central is damage control, just another key to achieving a high functioning defensive team while maintaining a great attacker on the pitch.

The difference last season is that both Fonseca and Conceicao wanted to play their go to style of a high pressing game, and theres little to no chance you can achieve that with Leao on the pitch. Not even just Leao, whole team wasnt built for that.

Honestly ill admit i havent been the biggest Leao fan in the past couple of seasons, but with Allegri shifting him more central Im actually excited to see how he does. The talent was always there, but inherently I think the modern winger is a two way player. Either that or your output is so good that youre allowed the leeway as a luxury player. Now even if he has the same output as last season I wouldnt care. The team wont suffer as much when hes having an off game.
