please lord

Today, asked about his meeting with Gerry and Zlatan, Rangnik said:

"The only point of contact for me regarding contractual matters is and remains the Austrian Football Federation."

That said, the German did not deny the meeting with Milan's leadership. "I think everyone noticed that something extraordinary happened at AC Milan last weekend."

I don't even know what this means. And yet, maybe because it's so cryptic, if I didn't knew better, I'd say Rangnik has already a total agreement with Gerry and Zlatan.

Ffs Motta is more of the same old. We need a shock to the system. We need a drastic change culturally at this club. Jist uproot the whole damn thing and start over with something totally new, different, and with the tines. This Rangnick-Glasner duo for example would be something like that. But if we go back to the same old Italian carousel of coaches....we'll be in this same position next year. We don't have the structure to support something like that. So this is the perfect time to just change everything.

I rather have Glasner than iroala as he has won trophies now. However, I dont know much about him and generally foreign coaches dont do well in Italy especially German ones

They had better not do this. His style is focused on a structured buildup which really slows the game down and was also dependent on Zirkzee. He had a TON of draws at Bologna and had a TON of draws at Juve. At Juve they said the problem was his lacks of wingers but then they got him Conceicao's son etc but then his awful man management skills came to the fore. He is NOT the one....

I don’t watch every game now, but I follow the league enough. Iraola just feels like the more exciting and potentially rewarding option, while Glasner definitely has the stronger CV right now.

From what I’ve read and heard, Glasner doesn’t really come across as a big-club coach. It’s often said he’s had quite a few tantrums and could lose the dressing room pretty easily. Feels much more suited to clubs like Frankfurt, Palace or Lazio. Then again, maybe paired with Rangnick it could actually become something interesting.

Idk, I'd go for Xavi at this point
Also, Glasner is way closer to Allegri than to someone like Fabregas, unlike Iraola, although structure-wise his teams are definitely more modern and way more fun to watch than Allegri’s.

I mean, Oliver Glasner has won 3 trophies at Crystal Palace. Combination of him and Ragnick is intriguing.
Why are folks acting as if Rangnick is some genius move?

Wtf has he done in the past 5 years that amounts to such hope?

Also Glasner reeks of typical small club coach.

He may aswell have stayed at Bournemouth instead of Crystal Palace, baffling.

Anyone other than Xavi now would be disappointing i think, I like that gamble.

Abate is expected to become Sassuolo’s new coach
And when Berrardi scores the goal to do the double against us next season, he will look towards Zebra in the stands and go

It's going back to Elliott's original plan.
It also would mean much lower profile players if the plan is same as before.

A profile like his would be good where all levels are impacted but I am not sure he specifically is the right choice as pressure and scrutiny didn't seem to agree with him at United and his other jobs were away from the spotlight.

Still beggars can't be choosers and if there isn't going to be concrete spending to try and win now then it may not be the worst thing to create culture and see where we go from there.

Not paying too much attention until all pieces in place and then see who the players they go after are.

There’s a German coach that could work with Rangnick. Red Bird should be familiar with him from Liverpool.

Roger Federer is the GOAT

Zlatan Ibrahimović's communications with Massimiliano Allegri regarding tactical and technical matters inside Milan's locker room began after the 1-1 draw at home against Como, but the tension was already present even before Milan's 2-1 victory over Pisa in the final moments on February 13, thanks to a goal from Luka Modrić.

The start of the disagreements dates back to early February, when Ibrahimović and Forlan were considering the current squad sufficient to compete, while Allegri was extremely angry after the January transfer window because he had been waiting for reinforcements that never arrived.

The heated discussions gradually led Ibrahimović to inform some of the players he communicates with by phone about the true situation concerning them, as well as Allegri's plans for the future.

After the Milan vs. Como 1-1 match, these were Milan's results:

Milan vs. Parma 0-1
Cremonese vs. Milan 0-2 (Pavlović and Leão)
Milan vs. Inter 1-0 (Estupiñán)
Lazio vs. Milan 1-0
Milan vs. Torino 3-2 (Pavlović, Rabiot, and Fofana)
Napoli vs. Milan 1-0
Milan vs. Udinese 0-3
Verona vs. Milan 0-1 (Rabiot)
Milan vs. Juventus 0-0
Sassuolo vs. Milan 2-0
Milan vs. Atalanta 2-3 (Pavlović and Nkunku)
Genoa vs. Milan 1-2 (Nkunku and Aït-Nouri)
Milan vs. Cagliari 1-2 (Salemakers)

13 matches:
5 wins, one draw, and 7 losses.
Just 16 points out of 39.

Milan scored only 12 goals, of which:

3 goals through Strahinja Pavlović, one of Allegri's staunchest supporters within the team
Two goals through Adrien Rabiot, who is considered a symbol of "Allegri-ism" inside the locker room
Two goals through Christopher Nkunku
One goal through Alexis Salemakers
One goal through Aït-Nouri

That means 9 out of 12 goals came from players who support Allegri, while Rafael Leão, Yusuf Fofana, and Pervis Estupiñán—who are considered part of the opposition to the coach and participants in Ibrahimović's communications—scored only the remaining three goals.

And most shockingly, these players, along with Christian Pulisic, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Fikayo Tomori, Ritchie, and Jiménez, were the ones with disastrous levels and behaviors.

Therefore, there is no doubt about the reason for the collapse of a team that was steadily heading toward the Champions League, and was even competing for the league at one point, before collapsing in a shameful manner amid what resembles internal sabotage.

It's looking like there will be no Italians in the main positions of an Italian club. That's actually fine with me if they do a good job and win a title or two while making the CL. But two of them will be in the U.S. for more than a month so wonder how that will work out.

I thought of the Italian thing when I saw a snippet of Comolli's press conference where he spoke French that was translated to Italian and found it kind of odd. I remember Gazidiz that attempted to learn the language and got pretty good at it.

As opposed to us, Juventus is keeping most of their management in place and in my mind that puts them in worst shape than us. He said that they won't be able to spend much on the market but want to convince Vlahovic to renew which I think is unlikely.

Bremer is up for sale to finance some but are stuck with David and Openda that won't get many offers, and Koopmeiners 58 million. Zhegrova that some wanted has a record of zero goals and zero assists.

Como that has no Italians in the starting line-up will be forced to get some for the lists and 2 names that have emerged are Comozzo and Miretti that probably will be reserves.

If it's true that Nico Paz will stay one more season and the development of Douvikas, Baturina, Jesus Rodriguez, Da Cunha, etc continues, they will be phenomenal next season. It won't get any easier for us.

Thinking of Ibra being in charge of everything and Korowski being renewed reminds me of Bizarro World, where an evil Superman resided that was the complete opposite of the planet saving, Lois Lane loving real one. BTW, was Lois blind when Clark took his glasses off and she didn't recognize him as Superman?

It's bizarre because the two worst people that contributed to our fall from grace and the other that led our top youth team out of the professional ranks, are somehow rewarded.

Lois and Clark with Dean Cain and Terry Hatcher was my go to whenever I didn’t have school and was home alone.

Even younger me couldn’t understand how this schifosa didn’t know it was him

Motta and Ibra do not get along well.

I am not interested in back and forth arguments.

Bring him in and see it for yourself. 2027-28 will be another year 0, not sure if Motta would survive the whole season honestly.

So Milan gets Glasner from Palace, and Palace replaces Glasner with Iraola, who Milan initially wanted?

Can someone shed some light on this Glasner guy? His team won the conference league today but finished 15th in the premier league.. not the typical profile that we go after.

He has a valid contract for the WC which he honours with that statement.

He is a bit more like Gasperini etc. Mid block, 3 atb, wider team, pressing (Rangnick prefers narrow formations which spring into pressing traps)

He started coaching at SV Ried, a team which has played 3-5-2/3-3-3-1 before it was cool. That's where his preference imo comes from.

He wouldn't fit badly into Italy.

In 2020, Milan considered the German executive Ralf Rangnick, his coach at the time of Hoffenheim and with whom he maintains a great relationship. Among the possible names for the Rossoneri bench, his was also mentioned. What was there to it? “How can I answer… let’s say that at the time I watched many more Milan matches and observed the Rossoneri players very closely!”, the German coach smiles without denying it. “Milan is a fantastic club and in the subsequent years it was truly a pleasure to face them, in an incredible atmosphere like that of San Siro. Before Milan-Salzburg, the fans were crazy and they were singing ‘Pioli is on fire’. I told Pioli that he had a great privilege in being able to enjoy that situation in every match. It was impressive.
