Backup to Ramos?

Ruthless finisher but I think Amorim wants his striker to press a lot and harass CBs in possession. Icardi isn't known for his work rate. Might have been a good addition while we had Allegri - he would have been way more clinical than Santi/Fulkrug with the rare 2-3 chances we created every game.

LOOOOOL
PISSSI gets an assist for the enzo goal

Cmonnn lmao rofl.
It’s literally the definition of an assist lol.

Plus, he brought all of the defenders away from Enzo before passing to him opening up time and space.

What a shot, though. Enzo had 3 beautiful shots from outside the box in the match.

Fuckk I missed out.
My missus said to bet on argies winning 2-1. I bet as 3-1 argies.

Would have paid out 1000 bucks.

Now she reckons argies win the final.

But I am going viva la Spain. 3-1 spain
Honey bet on argentina

Spain are the betting favorites and tactically the strongest team at this World Cup, with almost flawless teamwork.

But Argentina can still pull it off, if they play with the same kind of urgency, grit and heart like they did in the final 25 minutes against England. They also know how the dark arts work, and have Messi.

Personally I think it will be a balanced game and I can still see Messi pulling off the performance of his lifetime for what is most likely his last World Cup match, a final. Whether that will be enough or not, I don't know but in tight games, should be.

England demonstrated today that adding am additional central defender doesn’t automatically mean better defense.

What a perfect working illustration

Yea no that isn’t with an assist.

Shot and everything was all on enzo.

It's not just Tuchel's fault. Pretty much every English player apart from Bellingham lacks that winner's mentality. the Argentinians looked like men possessed — like commandos carrying out a mission.I also hope everyone has finally realized that Declan Rice is just another massively overrated English player. If he and Anderson are supposedly worth €270 million combined, then what would a prime Seedorf or a prime Modrić be worth? Maybe €900 million — the GDP of a small country.

too many great players to list but if pushed all time favorite player: Maldini

Keeping possession of the ball more efficiently and deeper in opponents half is a better form of defence than parking the bus. If they don’t have the ball they cannot hurt you.

Having said that England’s elimination is very welcome and I hope France beat them in the third place playoff.

Spain have every chance of beating Argentina I hope they do exactly that but it will be a very close game.

Bellingham is a good player but he is also a big problem. He has a massive ego that will inevitably hurt his long term career as a player.

The two teams that made the final are the ones with the most technical midfields, the ones that can control the tempo of the game. It's not the teams with the best attacks, like France, but with a midfield lacking technical quality. And we thought we were going to win trophies with a player like Fofana in midfield...

Anyway, Spain are going to smoke this old man Messi. It'll be a cakewalk.
I wouldn't bet on it.

Surely, I would love them to win, and I don't like Argentina, but final is one match, and as someone said, Argentina knows how to play dirty and is focused on result by all means.

I think it will be tough match with Spain edging it, but it won't be a walk in the park.

In Serie A, 4 out of the last 5 scudetto was won with attacking football (only exception was Conte's scudetto last year)
Bundesliga is always won with attacking football
Ligue 1 is always won with attacking football
La Liga is always won with attacking football (except the once a decade Simeone Atletico win)
EPL, before this year's Arteta terrorball, was always won with attacking football in the last decade (last defensive win was the Leicester miracle)

There is a pattern - the time for coaches that play their teams like Allegri, Tuchel are over. Football has moved beyond them.
