I hope the club releases a limited edition #6 jersey from one of the vintage 80s designs to honor Franco. That would be pretty amazing to carry on his legacy worldwide

To me this sounds more like exploiting his death to boost sales. I wouldn't want that. Or if it happens anyway, at least give 100% of the profits to a football school or something that actually honors his legacy and builds toward the future. Something Baresi himself would have liked.

Growing up I never paid attention to defenders but for some reason Billy was my favourite at the back.

To think we had Maldini, Baresi, Costacurta and Tassoti... Then Maldini, Nesta, Stam and Cafu...

Some of us were spoiled rotten!!!

And some of the midfields and front lines, fucking hell, how far we've fallen...

Great memories though

2 games that stand out for me was the Barca final in 94, away to Foggia in 92, coming back from 2-1 down at half time, to win 2-8... These were so pivotal to my falling in love with this club and the players. Such heart and soul. I think that's why I've pretty much hated the Americanisation of Milan, and all dat ruthlessness and those fucking 7 strips per season.

I'm maybe old, but I hark for an older version of the game... So many classic games, battles, varied results but always a sense of pride, love and fun from this club.

This soulless iteration of Milan isn't Milan, and it hurts as well as sucks.

So I'll remember the good times for as long as I can, and hope to see a nice collar and second star on a jersey soon!!!???

PPL tend to forget but besides Baresi&Maldini Billy Costacurta was also elite/world class in 90s, easly would be star in modern Milan/best italian defender nowdays (competition is so weak tbh). And then we got Nesta in the 2000s. Maldini-Nesta-Stam-Cafu is in my opinion the strongest 4-back in club football history. We had so much talent in evry position under Ancelotti that it is almost unbeliveble. When u look at modern squad...we fell so low...

Winning a single CL title and a single Scudetto with this squad is criminal! Punishable by banishment to Siberia.

After a good start with Ramos and Gila, we have become non existent for a month, worse, we are going from promising youngsters like Karetsas or Alajbegovic where if they pan out we benefit massively to our foolish strategy of loan to develop for others targeting Mastantuono (who is a fucking toxic personality within the team btw) and Nwaneri...

And don't get me started on whose turn it is to get the trash out (Musah, Chuck, Fofana, Leao, Odogu, Terraciano, Bondo, Stupid, RLC, Gimenez...)

No one at the helm yet again.

He became the LB starter forcing Maldini to stay as a CB.

Wasn't Coco sent to Inter in exchange for Seedorf? Collovati also moved to Inter and now is some kind of analyst on TV. Costacurta was much better than him and at some point we had Filippo Galli as a reserve that was better than most starters of other teams. I'm reminded of him because he writes editorials on MilanNews at times.
