I'm putting this out there, despite having a negative impression of the squad:

This squad was underutilized last season and still got 5th. The two biggest needs have been addressed.
Agree but its also true that the league is absolute dogshit. As soon as two or three teams improve (which Como and Roma are doing) we are left behind with the quality we have.

It's easy to buy into what Gerry & Co are selling, if you want to... But the problems are pretty obvious. The solutions not so much, or should I say, not so easily implementated.

We absolutely need to sell to buy, but more so sell bulk to bring in quality.

We have bodies, we need starters!!!

We've needed starters for 3/4 summers, but we've applied algorithms and money ball tactics at times, speculatively buying guys in the 10-20 million bracket, opportunities, that "might" be another Pulisic. Rather than addressing say 2 areas and buying proper solutions.

Fast forward to today, and every summer we're trying to offload 3/4/5 of these players, while selling an asset to balance books and open another mercato, all while still having a collection of bums.

Gila was a smart buy, Ramos, fuck knows at this point. But putting all our eggs in one basket, then finding ourselves with no clear "out" from the same position we're in every summer, is ineptitude, again.

But it's cool, Gerry is relatable now and we have a director of player trading???

I say it every year. Anyone but the negative Milan fans here, would look at our squad and say we are the 2nd best. There's no way we aren't in the top 4.

Who at Napoli, Juve and Roma am I supposed to be wanting desperately?
Malen? For now, an attack with Pulisic, Leao and Ramos is miles above the rest. Rabiot and Maignan are elite. There's no excuse to be dropping points regularly against bottom half teams. Those games shouldn't be competitive.

A big issue, while I agree we're potentially in a better spot than last year with 2 new players and more options from the bench with returning players... A big issue is that we currently don't really have the wide players that Amorim needs/wants(not buying the ChuK bullshit for a minute) and we don't know how Nkunku and Pulisic will do in this new set up. Plus if either are out or in poor form, we need cover or options for both.

It's another weird situation we find ourselves in.

Lots of Diaz rumours going about. What makes them interesting is I believe his contract expires next year and he's dropped further down the Real pecking order?

So you'd imagine a fair deal can be struck abc wages aren't going to be an issue.

Reading into it more he only played 5/600 minutes last year? But what I saw at the WC was a live wire player, wot heart and determination, as well skills on the ball.

But, at 25/26 he's always been a bit part player, can he step into a pivotal role for us???

As a rotational players I see more upside than down, but is he taking a spot away from one of our youngsters or likely to be an important part of a team trying to get back into the CL?

He frustrated me to fuck when he was there, but I liked what I saw at the WC!!!

Interesting idea I gotta say... But not sure I'm 100% onboard lol

Actually, we are left with the mistakes made last summer. Obviously with hindsight. I remember them getting a lot of praise for the money we were getting from sales. But turns out a lot didn't get completed and we are left needing to sell those players again.

But because they're not star players, usually these players will become alternatives for clubs. When they miss out on their first choices and know this player is available. It's the reality of it. But by then, if we have already signed a player in their position and publicly made it obvious that player has to go...the club will get that player for dirt cheap.

I can see RLC and Tomori going without issues. It's Chuk and Musah that'd be difficult but they definitely have a market still.

His final year with us, he grew into a player worth a spot in the XI. 13 goal contributions. Scoring that beautiful solo goal against Juve where he takes it from the half way line. I do think we lack a tricky player like him.

We really gonna start the season with Salaemakers, Estupiñan, Chukwueze and Athekame as wing-backs.

I'm out of words. Our squad is pathetic.

Moreover, what kind of circus is this 3-4-2-1?

I mean, for this system to thrive you need players like Di Marco, Hakimi etc.

Chukwueze can't even pass or control the fucking ball.

So the current situation is that every player including those who were expected to leave Milanis so impressed with Amorim that, at the moment, nobody wants to go. They all see this as a unique opportunity to work under a coach like him

Jesus christ.

Ok then, sign a backup CF, a starting AM, a starting MID and a starting CB.
Are we playing 2 CMs this season?
Currently we have Rabiot Modric Jashari Fofana RLC Musah Ricci Comotto

How many do we need?
Who do we need to sell?
Even getting rid of RLC, Fofana, Ricci and Musah would put Comotto as 4th choice. Do you want to make him 5th choice?

You said AM? Do you mean SS because we don't play an AM.

At CB? We have Gila, Pavlovic, De Winter, Gabbia, Tomori, Diawara, Odogu - surely you agree we have to sell first here too.

Yeah I agree.

A really solid WB would set this summer straight, but we have a habit of neglecting a need or two and then surprise surprise, it becomes an issue.

I usually don’t like small players especially if they are weak but Brahim is one player I don’t mind purely cause he works hard. Tries hard and is skilled enough. He also likes Milan. So that’s a huge plus.

Lol you guys are funny. Last year under allegri all our players with flair looked crap. Let amourim use them estupinan was one of the better full backs in epl. Let's see how he goes. For me all I want is tomori and pav out. I want new cbs. With actual defenders we will be much better. Even leao who I want gone I belive under and attacking system could score 20 goals. That's why I am a bit apprehensive about him. Thing is can he press. Can puli play ram.

RLC Fofana Musah Zeroli Bondo and one of Ricci/Jashari must leave.

Starting CMs must be Rabiot plus a new mid. For bench Modric Comotto and one of Ricci/Jashari.

We play with RAM and LAM. So yeah, we need one of those when/if Leao leaves.

At CBs Odogu must be loaned out. Pavlovic and Tomori just suck. They can't pass to save their lives. SELL.

The level of amateurism at the club is unprecedented. Even under Chinese ownership, things were never this bad.

We will also concede like 4 5 a game if we played too attacking.

Outside of Gila it’s all a steaming pile of shit bunch of cbs.

Estupinan may have been a better lb In epl but that is epl. An inferior less physical league than serie a.

Serie a is far more physical. Without strength on the ball or size in general you will get killed. Exceptions who are rare aside.

EPL suits ****** ball runners who run like headless chickens all game.

I have gotten used to Inter fans referring to the team I love as Bilan. I have a huge problem with Milan fans using that term, regardless of how bad our current situation is. It is insulting when it comes from Inter fans, even more so when it comes from Milan fans. Please insult Gerry, Ibra, and the lot as much as you want, but please do not insult the team I love.

This is NOT an attempt to defend Gerry. I have grown extremely frustrated with the lot, and (while I will hope for the best) I have zero confidence in results.
Honestly, prior to joining this forum didn't know the term existed. Having left Italy in 1966 don't believe anyone said it in those days so I imagine the B refers to when we were sent to Serie B?

We say Ladri, merda, about our rivals which is ok and they use whatever offensive terms regarding us so don't need self-inflicting insults.

Personally never used the word, not here or anywhere else because, among other things, sounds childish, and it isn't funny. I don't mind sarcasm but this is lame. Banter era, Redshit, terror ball, all that stuff is fine because it's about people and things that fail but Milan is Milan. It's like if one of your children goes bad you don't stop loving him while at the same time recognize his faults.

We just lost one of the best defenders that the world has ever seen, someone that sweated and bled for the jersey, loved by fans of clubs from all over the world, a class act that would never mock his own team.
