He had that face the whole time he was at United. Thats the face of a man who doesnt know what the fucck he is doing
Is it possible to have the same ManU last season outcome, fire him , replace him by a former Ac Milan player and graps the 3rd spot

I've been trying to be optimistic but it's getting hard after watching us be totally dominated by Chelsea and create zero offensive threats.

We looked ok the first 30 minutes but because of the speed of the match got tired and couldn't keep up the pace. Estupinian confirmed that he sucks, RLC I still don't know what's his best position while Jashari on his first touch after he entered missed a pass that led to their second goal. Later was badly beaten on an attempt to tackle and his opponent hit the post.

People defend this guy, say give him more chances but every time I watch him play he disappoints. We're still weak at defending set pieces with De Winter as the most guilty today. Salaemakers has been awful this pre-season, hope it's just a phase and not a regression.

I'm beginning to agree with those that opine that Camarda and Comotto should be loaned out, both need to grow and get more physical. Cisse` and Tomori didn't play today but for the young black Italian hope it's just to rest him and has already made the team. For Tomori it's a possible sign that he's on his way out.

We have too many deficiencies and too many fodders to have a chance at a top 4 as it stands now. Chuckie in no way is worthy of a starter position, Musah is midtable talent at best, Terracciano I would let go for 4 million or so, Ricci is rightfully on the transfer list as is Fofana that showed nothing today.

We have Maignan, Gila, Rabiot, Pulisic, Gimenez and Athekame out and things may improve with their return, maybe with Gimenez as back up to Ramos or we'll have to buy another striker. If we keep Leao maybe go back with Puli on the right and Rafa on the left and forget this inverted stuff.

In my opinion Pavlovic was our best player in the first half with his bursts forward that were basically our only offense, Modric was ok as well, and Leao decent, while in the second half our CBs got easily over-run showing their lack of speed. Again too many misplaced passes and I see zero improvement in the returning players under Amorim.

Speaking of the coach that I'm not knocking because it's too early to judge, I wonder what caused Gerry to have such complete trust in his abilities despite having failed at his last stop. Basically gave him carte blanche in the transfer market even though that has come to a sudden stop. Who suggested it and convinced him that it was a good move.

I'm sure he had no idea who the guy was or fully understood what his tactics are. As a principle I despise the 3 at the back formation, no matter which model: 3-4-3, 3-5-2, 3-4-1-2, or our 3-4-2-1. Gasperini has had success with it as well as Conte and Inzaghi in a more offensive minded set-up. Alegri brought us ugly football while we won the scudetto and made CL semis under Pioli in a 4-2-3-1 mostly.

Having said all that, we really need to move fast this upcoming week, buying and selling while deeply evaluating who is worthy of the Milan jersey. Too many of our current players are not.

PS: I thought that Palestra was great today playing on the left while at Cagliari was on the right. It doesn't matter because he's equally adept with both feet. Has real good size and speed and his crosses and passes were constant dangers to our defense.

For those that said that a move to Chelsea from Cagliari is too high a step up, he was probably man of the match today and looked extremely confident. Yes, EPL clubs tend to over-pay but Inter made a 50 million offer that is tremendous for a Serie A club and was accepted, until Chelsea swooped in.

Marotta knows talent and wouldn't invest so much if he wasn't sure. I was impressed the first time I watched him play by his excellent first touch, his dribbling, and how comfortable he looks with the ball at his feet.

Torriani great again. If the sell Maignan we should start him, saving a bunch of money on contract and the sale.
I guess I cursed him. Fuck Torriani.

Sell Jashari and buy Kone.

How many times do ppl post these comments before an utter and complete shit season 😑🔫
I thought we're over the 'pre-season means nothing' trope.
Pre-season doesn't mean that if we beat X team and lose to Y team, we're better or worse than them.

What it does, however, is show indication to what the season unfolds in terms of individual players and team mentality. Under Fonseca we played interesting and compact football in pre-season but it has faded since he couldn't control the dressing room.
Under Allegri we played conservatively at 3ATB and that was consistent throughout the season.

A pre-season success, especially under new manager, is a wind behind the sails for the team and the opposite, well, we've seen indications and future results plenty of times already.

This team crumbled under pressure today against a semi Chelsea B team, no player rose to the occasion, Modric looked heavy and ill-fit to lead the midfield, and defence was unorganized and uncoordinated, despite the fact that they have been playing together for more than a year, in that formation (it's not as if Gila led the back line).

Is Amorim a defensive coach? Is it expected to change through the season? Hardly. So, no one expects him to make wine out of water with this squad in terms of tactical implementations, but he has much, much work to do in order to stabilize the team and I doubt he is the coach to do so.

I wasn't implying that we're any good. I'm personally 50/50 about whether we are gonna be around 8th place or 3rd/4th this season. I was simply pointing out that friendlies don't really mean anything and don't really gauge season performance.

With these players we have, just play 4231 man and get a new left back
Amorim almost never changes his 3 4 3.
I remember at united he was under huge pressure to change the formation because it wasnt working. So one game he decides to change it to 4 2 3 1 hoping they would lose, so he can say look it wasnt the formation. But they won and played really good. His ego coudnt take it so the next game he changed it back to 3 4 3 and they lost again lol.
He is one of those coaches that are married to one formation.

Italy should build around them

Pre-season is pre-season.
That's why it doesn't matter.
Last time we were undefeated during pre-season (24-25), we finished the year in 8th place.

Y'all stil believe that this team can compete immediately?

Didn't watch the match, was out with the kids and dogs... Not surprised by the result, and it's not impacted on my day.

I wonder, have the gang of r3tards finally understood the importance of Maldini now that we've seen the before and after HIM in management?
We were 2nd after him.

It was pioli, remember giampaolo

Simply put, the quality of this team is shit. Camarda and Comotto are players for Futuro. It’s time to stop hyping these players up for no reason. I’m sorry, but I see nothing in either of them, just like I saw nothing in so many before them. This team urgently needs 4,5 top players to raise the level and at least give the coach a chance to play his football. But unfortunately, at this point, that’s impossible to expect

Attack can't create chances, midfield can't control possession, defense gets cooked constantly
It matters

The first 15 minutes of the Torino game will tell us more than the 360 of preseason games.
As constructed this isn't a top 4 team. They will probably get moving on the transfer market now but they wasted a few weeks evaluating players we all knew were terrible.

This team is broken. Get ready boys. Young players have no talent, experienced players are certified bums except Modric and rabbiot

Prediction for season is same for last 15 years without pioli.
