A possession based team needs to be able to have the ball in the first place, good luck pressing with LeaoI am 100% serious. I don't get how anyone could underrated Leao in that aspect.
Leao is a speedster, or used to be.I am 100% serious. I don't get how anyone could underrated Leao in that aspect.
I was talking about his passing ability there mainly, pressing and also individualism are fair points. (and even individualistic point for now needs to keep in mind that Amorims approach so far isn´t exactly tiki taka (and can even look quite kick and rush like in parts)). Pressing wise he has showed more enthusiasm is pre season, but of course he is no pressing machine.A possession based team needs to be able to have the ball in the first place, good luck pressing with Leao

Good decision. Amorim wants a more attacking RWB, this is why the fixation on Chuk. To be honest, I see Athekame as a misfit - to me he is a traditional RB. Tare bought him for a 4-3-3, fooled by Allegri, only to be a misfit in a 3-5-2.
First outgoing done, in August 9th. Only 12 more players to go.
I mentioned the other day that I'm not sure where he fits, so a loan actually makes a lot of sense... But yeah I like the kid.I think that´s a good move for Athekame.
OL seemingly play 3-4-3 so he will be kept on the RWB trajectory hopefully

They lost 1-2 to Sparta Praha so they hopefully also need him and give him minutes.

ChukThats idiotic, unless a good RWB is coming.

I miss Theo and Leao causing havoc down the left... The the crazy that Rebic added.Leao is a speedster, or used to be.
He is more suitable for a counter attack team than a possession team.
We used to nag about having one active side.I miss Theo and Leao causing havoc down the left... The the crazy that Rebic added.
Good times.

Athekame was loaned to Lyon, but why you didn't mention Musah ? do you think despite being not even a bench player at Atalanta he could become a WC playerSaelemaekers, Chuk, Bartesaghi, Gimenez, Ricci, De Winter, Athekame, hello?
Benitez ??? He completely fucked up.Everyone in the media is picking Inter to repeat because its players know each-other well and their formula has yielded great results. My fear is that they will become the Bayern of Italy or another version of Juve that won a ton of consecutive titles.
Most see Napoli as the closest to merda but these predictions are based on what the clubs look like on paper and there are always surprises like Como finishing 4th, one point ahead of us.
Allegri in an interview on DAZN regarding De Bruyne explained what his role wold be in a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 formations that he's been using in the friendlies, mainly the first one. At Milan he was inflexible with his terror ball but working for ADL makes a difference.
When he first got hired I was pretty sure that the two had spoken about tactics, and since Sarri had chosen Atalanta over Napoli they hired the complete opposite which wouldn't have happened unless had agreed on some kind of system.
ADL has made a few mistakes in hiring coaches, (Gattuso, Mazzarri), but is usualy spot on like Sarri, Conte, Spalletti, Benitez. When an owner knows the sport well and has weight and influence in the league it contributes a lot to the club's success. He brought Napoli from Serie C to two Serie A titles, including 2 of the last 4.
Not sure if he forced the change but I suspect they talked about it since Napoli has a ton of offensive weapons.
Unfortunatly with this new era of funds owning clubs that in large part eliminates the human element, the passion of Berlusconi, Moratti, Agnelli, Viola, and others franchises, are now run by faceless automatons.
Gimenez's current book value is 23m

Gerry talked about Youth, what'd fuck Youth Scout are doing .Dortmund has 2 Italians starting against Arsenal today.
Not to nitpick, but Bennacer was the first outgoing player! But now they have the ball rolling..Good decision. Amorim wants a more attacking RWB, this is why the fixation on Chuk. To be honest, I see Athekame as a misfit - to me he is a traditional RB. Tare bought him for a 4-3-3, fooled by Allegri, only to be a misfit in a 3-5-2.
