too many great players to list but if pushed all time favorite player: Maldini
It's pretty clear that Milan doesn't have many players that are adept or experienced in Amorim's system. In this scenario the coach either changes formations or asks for players that suit his way playing.

To be effective we need fast players with great stamina for constant pressing, also quick passes and not lingering on the ball that gives defenses time to set up. Keep possession, be more vertical, and move well without the ball.

Good ball playing CBs that can initiate the play that leads to the offense, and a compact mid that can handle the middle of the pitch while the wing-backs take care of the edges. How many players do we have with those characteristics? Against Chelsea we looked exhausted after 30 minutes so our fitness needs improving.

These are all question marks two weeks before the season starts for me, while awaiting our next moves in the transfer market. Adaptabilty is a key component of the degree of success we might achieve and I expect our next training sessions will be focused on that. As someone said, you can't fit a square peg in a round hole so we'll see how it all works out and hoping for the best.
Once again under RedBird there are more questions than answers. No SD and from the looks of it certain players will remain whether they suit Amorim’s game plan or not.

At this point they are just about managing to trim the squad as there are too many players. Players whom have no business being here cannot be moved on. It is chaos yet again.

Because they have been here working.

Mike and Rabiot havent done anything wrong but you cant say they are doing things right to foster a good spirit for the new season.
They are not doing anything extra, that's for sure. Some act like they are AWOL or so, and that's also far from it.

Agree but more is expected from senior level players.

This is a Milan culture problem and honestly its part of the reason why things keep sliding.

Have those players played in the WC all the way until the semi-finals?

Yes, including those played in the final and 3rd place match.

Lautaro and Thuram returned to Inter yesterday.
Mbappe, Knate and Cucurella also returned today.
I think Barca’s Spanish players returned even earlier.

Out for a walk.
Højbjerg is a great player. I sincerely doubt Modric will be playing all that much. We need another engine to pair with Rabiot. He'd allow the Moroccan midget to excel at wingback if we get him.

Literally every major sporting decision Cardinale has made since acquiring Milan was boneheaded, but I think the decision to operate without sporting and technical directors may take the cake, especially in a transition year with a bloated squad and a new manager whose tactics do not at all suit the existing squad.

Dont like Magnian, never did. Dont understand how someone can be captain like him. Always looking like an injury is bout to happen to him, so injury prone.

And then the howlers.. keeps on making mistakes. Just sell.

Isnt captian material, isnt Milan material.

Mike has no suitors, evident by his summer of sniffing the market and realizing that only Chelsea will pay for him, and no more than 15m

Rabiot I would be surprised if he's here by September

No coach would have lasted until November with this squad. Allegri performed a miracle last year and the true value of this team was seen in the final third of last season. Honestly, I don't expect anything from Amorim this year, regardless of the squad he has at his disposal
Allegri did perform a miracle.....Milan went from early season title contender, to not even qualifying for the Champions League.

and we would be trying to offload him instead of fofana now
Nah, Kone is starting for France. One of the most obvious top players back then available for peanuts, but ironically our French scout obsessed with black French players somehow missed him and signed a similar profile only times shittier

Bruv, their last official match was on July 18th, less than a month ago.

And they went through intense training all summer.

You can bet your ass they are in better form than all of our fodders who haven't played the WC.
Ok, why their french teammates and Lautaro who reached the final got back before them ?

I loved him in the scudetto season. Even got a black mike jersey since then he has been straight bum. Was so sure we have a gk for 12 years

I have come to conclusion that it was dida who got over his 2 decade old head trauma from flare.

After watching pre season so far we can be glad to have Mike tbh, for Amorim's system a sweeper keeper like him makes a huge difference.
I personally would even sign a BU GK with that profile. You can't put Torriani in for Mike without changing a lot.

With Allegri's low block it was imo not very important and I wouldn't have minded him sold, but now it is.

Biggest problem I see is him and Chuck being Afcon players. If they make their NTs 2 RWBs are gone for 2 months mid season.
Chuck being gone can only be a good thing

For me firing Maldini and Massara was worse. We wouldnt have been in this mess.

I think Torriani can do the sweeper thing! He actually is good with his feet. But its a mentality thing. Torriani takes less risks in coming out of goal. But he should do it more. He can learn that for sure.
Its not like Mike has been clean in coming out and passing, he makes so many mistakes at that.
Mike is a decent to good goalkeeper with worldclass moments. But if he would leave I wouldn’t cry about it.
