- too many great players to list but if pushed all time favorite player: Maldini
Once again under RedBird there are more questions than answers. No SD and from the looks of it certain players will remain whether they suit Amorim’s game plan or not. It's pretty clear that Milan doesn't have many players that are adept or experienced in Amorim's system. In this scenario the coach either changes formations or asks for players that suit his way playing.
To be effective we need fast players with great stamina for constant pressing, also quick passes and not lingering on the ball that gives defenses time to set up. Keep possession, be more vertical, and move well without the ball.
Good ball playing CBs that can initiate the play that leads to the offense, and a compact mid that can handle the middle of the pitch while the wing-backs take care of the edges. How many players do we have with those characteristics? Against Chelsea we looked exhausted after 30 minutes so our fitness needs improving.
These are all question marks two weeks before the season starts for me, while awaiting our next moves in the transfer market. Adaptabilty is a key component of the degree of success we might achieve and I expect our next training sessions will be focused on that. As someone said, you can't fit a square peg in a round hole so we'll see how it all works out and hoping for the best.
At this point they are just about managing to trim the squad as there are too many players. Players whom have no business being here cannot be moved on. It is chaos yet again.
