I must agree with this, at times he was a solid presence. But my impression of him is heavily affected by how insanely useless he's been in the final third. And it's not like he hasn't had chances.
He had some good games but his shooting is probably among the worst that I have ever seen. The funny thing is that Fofana was among the best in putting himself in a position to get shots, just couldn't convert.

I would love to see how his finishing statistics stack up historically against similar players, I would guess he’s the worst finisher in history based on what I observed.

One of the more disappointing signings we’ve made. I thought Fofana was a big time talent and would prove to be a massive upgrade.

He SUCKS but I would also argue he has suffered from a pretty poor environment at Milan.

All this 4 extra days talk has momentum. I like it.

Could turn into another commode inside joke that's referenced a few years from now.

My intention wasn't to turn this into another huge controversy, especially at a time when every little thing seems to get blown completely out of proportion. Four extra days of vacation aren't some massive scandal in themselves. But with Maignan, I simply expect more because he's not just another player. He's our captain and supposedly one of the leaders of this team.

Mike is someone who likes to make big speeches about Milan and what this club means. He made the club come back twice before finally renewing his contract, he's now one of the highest-paid players in the squad and he wears an armband that should come with higher standards and greater responsibility. So yes, I judge him differently from some random squad player. I think that's perfectly fair.

I already found it extremely disappointing that he apparently couldn't interrupt his vacation for one day to attend Franco Baresi's funeral. Of course players need holidays and of course they need time to recover. But come on. Unless Mike was vacationing on fucking Mars, I'm pretty sure a millionaire footballer – or Milan themselves – could have found a comfortable way to fly the captain of AC Milan to Milan for the funeral of arguably the greatest symbol this club has ever had. Be there. Show your face. Represent the team on an incredibly sad but important day. Then go straight back to your vacation. I thought his absence was very weak, but I didn't make much of it because again, not every little thing needs to become a controversy.

And now it's another four days.

Again, the four days themselves aren't the point. It's the example you're setting. The rest of the squad has just travelled across continents, played friendlies and worked throughout the preseason. Mike hasn't. He could easily spend these days at Milanello getting his body going again, working individually and preparing himself so that when the squad returns, he's ready to train with them and lead them. Even if he isn't going to play a single minute against Manchester United, you're the fucking captain. Be there. Show presence. Lead.

What are four additional vacation days really going to give him over the course of an entire season? Probably absolutely nothing. But the impression created by choosing those four days instead of being there with your new coach and your teammates lasts much longer than the vacation itself.

I'm disappointed with Rabiot too, obviously, but Rabiot has always struck me as a mercenary. He'll fight like hell on the pitch and I respect that, but I've never particularly expected him to be the emotional leader of Milan off it.

With Maignan, I did.

And maybe that's why this disappoints me much more. Because increasingly, I'm starting to wonder whether Mike really is the leader we've made him out to be. And perhaps things like this are just another small glimpse into why this team has looked so desperately short of character when it mattered most – including somehow throwing away what should have been a secure Champions League qualification last season.
Fair. What I was about is saying that they are not doing less than their contractual obligations which imo is important to state, since players going AWOL isn´t unheard off in football. I personally don´t think that Mike should be captain and I don´t really think of him like that to be honest. While I do understand having higher expectations, I am also not a fan of getting overly emotional about players just doing their job.

With Rabiot especially it also has to be said that he simply is a veteran, not a hungry player. The guy has won 25 titles, he has been there done that, he is not getting shook that easily probably, be it for the positive or negative.

Do we need him?

We have Salaemakers and Musah for RWB. I don't count Chukwueze at all.
Hes much better then both.
15m is nothing for him. I wont count Musah as a rwb. Saelemaekers can play as lwb or backup

Another player surveyed by @acmilan in case of an exit on the left is Nicola #Zalewski from @Atalanta_BC.
With the formation change made by #Sarri, he's no longer central to the Bergamo project.
Among the many teams that have shown interest in him are also the Rossoneri

The only reason I can think of that management is pushing for Fofana to be gone quickly is because he is the one player other than Leao that can generate transfer funds without a capital loss. We are dependent on generating funds now to do anything about the mercato.

Yes Fofana should be gone to be replaced by better players but If it’s about trimming the squad, we have so much garbage that I can name 5 I would get rid of before Fofana. However, those players can’t generate much transfer fees at least not one that lets us operate in the transfer market

Fofana has a ton of internal competition

Modric, Rabiot, Jashari are better than him
Ricci and Comotto roughly same ball park with different ups and downs (expirience/talents in Comotto´s case)
And there is also Musah who Amorim doesn't seem to hate at least

... for now only 2 positions.

Add to that that we maybe want to sign a player for his position even, you could argue for him being something like 5.-6. choice CM.

Every big team gets richer only Milan gets dumber
But do they have a team in NBA Europe? No!
They are rumoured to splash 120m+ on Barcola for their left wing, we already have a superstar who by the looks of it will stay:LeaoP:

Jokes on them!

Moretto: Negotiations have begun between Porto and Milan for Santiago Giménez.

The two clubs are working on the basis of a loan with an option to buy.

There are also constant talks between Porto and the Mexican striker's entourage to finalize every detail of the contract.
