The Como story is something that rarely happens. Bought by multi-billionaire brothers from a country not known for football that appointed one of their own as president who's doing great by hiring a superlative scouting staff and a young coach, great player that toward the end of his career performed with the club in Serie B. With a few exceptions, (Morata), their transfers have been spot on and at a reasonable cost, many Under 23 when purchased.

If I was from Como, a spectacular little city of 83.000 residents, I would be ecstatic and look at it as an improbable fairy tale since for most ot the club's existence they've been a Serie C side. So far they have added Liberali, Milla, Chalaboa, and Yan Couto from Dortmund.

They will need to add some Italians for the lists but it's a great model to follow. Because of the chemistry of the group, the 3 years under the same system, the ability to improve the talent at their disposal, Como will be a direct rival to Milan for top 4.

In no particular order and before the season starts the contenders that I see for CL are Inter, Como, Milan, Roma, Napoli, and Juventus, with an outside shot for Fiorentina, (more likely Europa League). I see Atalanta, Bologna, and Lazio regressing.

For us much depends on how we complete our transfer market, can't afford misses like in recent times but try to focus more on good players with experience in the league as much as possible and don't gamble on profiles from weaker leagues like Switzerland and Belgium.

I would sell Mike and then send Ricci plus 15 million to Atalanta for Carnesecchi. I rate him superior to Maignan except using his feet that the Atalanta keeper is decent at but not top. At 27 3 years younger than Mike and doesn't get beat on the goal side.
