Im beggining to think that Amorim isn't seeing Saelemaekers as a wingback in his system now and more of a AM option. The way Amorim uses his wingbacks is to stretch teams, either with off the ball runs when the ball is on their side or by staying wide disconnected from the play awaiting the switch. Saelemaekers best traits are in the buildup through combination play and playing in tight spaces. He even cuts inside when playing RWB and we lose the wide out ball. His crossing and final ball is also quite mediocre.

Our LWB's are more fullback in nature (with the exception of this new guy based on a quick look) and even if they aren't dribblers or ball carriers they make alot of off the ball runs down the flank or into the half space depending on the positioning of the left sided attacking mid (who tends to be more of an SS/wide player and the ball carrier on that flank).

The RWB is the direct dribbler and crossing threat who keeps the width most of the time so the right sided AM needs to be comfortable more centrally and attacking the right half space (which I thought would be a good role for Nkunku from an offensive perspective ironically). Saele doesn't give us this same ability to stretch teams here. Backup left sided AM seems like his role in an Amorim team at the moment or even backup right sided AM. I am still curious to see him at LWB against a deep block though.
Amorim said something the other day during a press conference about Saele changing positions and how that was going to make it even harder for Leao to see time on the field. I don't remember exactly what day it was but it makes me think that Saele is getting moved up to LAM and will be used with Cisse to rotate Pulisic out and to also play as a LWB. Looks like Moriera can play on both sides so him and Saele bring Amorim a lot of versatility as they are both pretty good with both feet.

Fuck you Cardinale, splashing big amount just on foreigners, doesn't give a fuck about Italians talent.
Cambiaso is trash man. I hope Slavini goes back to realizing his potential. But not sure he fits this team and injuries have been a huge concern.

Anyway, I don't think we should pay big for Italian players. Instead, we should develop our own. Buy them early and run them through the system. I don't like the idea of giving Atalanta or Juventus 40m for a player. So I like the approach that we are taking with Torriani, Bartesaghi, Comotto, Cisse and Camarda.

I don't want for us to play Salaemakers as an AM but someone who can back-up at both RWB and LWB, in the AM position I would prefer Cisse` who will sub for Pulisic when he's back. Maybe Amorim will experiment Bartesaghi as a LCB but we already have two guys for the positionm unless they send Diawara out onloan.

To finally see a Milan that just goes ”fuck it, this is the guy we want. Here’s the money”. Insted of ”we do not take part in bidding wars”. Spending months of trying loan with option. Then ending up with the cheapest garbage.

Those crying over how Gerry spends his money deserves banter era.

I guess Gerry took last season's fiasco personal, missing out CL might actually turn out to be a blessing in disguise

A tale as old as time.

@Pingu returns to the forum. A new signing is announced out of the blue. @Pingu is the first to post highlight video today right after news broke, and now RnB is creaming themselves.

"The Belgian Marcelo"
"Who the fuck is this monster?"

No need to thank me. Once again, @General was correct.

consider the following:

1. Pingu returns.
2. Posting volume explodes.
3. Milan beats Manchester United 4-2.
3.Chukwueze temporarily becomes Lamine Yamal.
4.The mercato suddenly begins to move.
5.Gerry starts talking about commitment to the project.
6. Players nobody had heard of 45 minutes ago are being described as the Belgian Marcelo.

These are not predictions anymore.

These are the signs.

The prophecy is not being fulfilled. Not yet.

The prophecy has entered the fucking group stage

1786982646850.gif

but this still depends on our shared commitment to posting volume and quality.

the future hangs in the balance.

on one side there is the RnB posting velocity and tension with high quality debate and gif reactions

on the other side, dare I say it… is the dark force that knowingly or unknowingly work to thwart the prophecy’s fulfillment.

1. slurs against Milan
2. Taylor swift gifs
3. open posts about depression or being a ‘realist‘

fight the urges to fall back into the darkness

only then will we see glory in Milan and the return of patosheva and MR who will be the heralds of a new era

I don't even get mad anymore, there's a clear bias against Italians and we have let some of our most promising youngster go, like Liberali and Lontani and others that moved abroad.

And when you're talking about 18 year olds it's not like they're expensive or demand huge contracts so no wonder Liberali chose Como over us. We're treated like second class citizens and I'm ashamed at the media that don't ask, "why do you avoid Italians?".

This forum is something else. 150m spent on three signings and people start spazzing because none of them are Italians. You couldn't make it up.

I mean, I can’t really complain about this summer market. If Ramos proves to be a hit, then it has the potential to be one of the best in a long time.

The last several summers posters have asked for higher quality signings rather than the low to mid high quantity signings we were making. That wish has been granted and now hopefully it pays dividends.

Ramos was fucking expensive but overall I’m pretty thrilled with what we’ve done
With incoming transfers this summer.

We still have multiple needs, but if we only make one more signing and it’s a bonafide CB, I will be more than happy.

BRB gotta mop the floor + change my trousers 👍🏾

IKR
Also imagine being black and having a dick < 5" 😭😭😭
I'm not racist but when I see a pretty white girl with an athletic black guy, first I get jealous, and then I wonder: "she must love the big black dycks."

furthermore… the years of “Milan won’t splash the cash“… that seems to be a 180 degree turn in the last few days

we’ve been complaining about it for years (other than the fraud we are so rich)

and we see proof now that there is no nickle and diming going on.

Quality high potential signings

Finally we're making some moves and got a player that nobody talked about but looks like a perfect fit for Amorim's system, especially regarding speed that is something that I thought we need more of.

The so-called mercato experts have never been more wrong when they mention Tavarez, Zalewski, and Dodo` on the wings. I like the surprise element and the quickness in which the move was made, TransferMarket values Moreira at 45 million but they've been on he low scale for quite some time.

We're slowly but surely constructing a squad capable of challenging for the top, now if we can only solve the RLC enigma on why he's currently starting....
