20-30m is still fodder and gamble territory nowadays. you usually either get decent talent that you have to develop for years hoping it pays off or just bang average players.
players who can help immediately, like reijnders or gila, are the exception rather than the rule and they only went for those prices because of certain conditions (expiring contract, age, league)

some of the 20-30m transfers from this summer. i would argue most of them are 'estupinian' level players

'Estupinian' level players are grade-a fodder with no merit to them, more harm than good. that's not a 20-30m esque player, and most of the players on your list aren't that, IMO.
20-30m would get you a Ricci-type player, yes. bland/grey with no specialty to them, and many of the EPL-bound players on your list represent that.
As I said, EPL prices are not a viable metric (should decrease the actual value by 30-40%).

However, the Greek guy that Dortmund bought was highly sought after. Gutierrez is a former Madrid player, played 36 matches last season for Napoli, and is a highly versatile LB who could fit Leverkusen's needs (I.E., above his purchase value). Moreira was bought for 30m, btw, and was Lyon's most impressive and consistent player last season.
Gila... From what I've seen, he's our most ROI player thus far this summer.

Original point still stands, EPL will buy at inflated prices, German/Portuguese teams will try and buy players for proper valuation (if they succeed or not statistically, I do not know as I don't follow the leagues), and failures like Estupinian for 20-30 do not represent the norm, but an abject failure in terms of scouting. Same as a 40m Nkunku.
Players on your list will be valuable to some sort (a Ricci), and not a few could even be a Reindeer.

As for Como/Inter, so far they play in a consistent system, so even Chalaboa/Spence probably would not be an 'Estupinian'.
The opposite, a fast technical English RB NT player coming as a Dumfries replacement in this dead league? Could easily be a Di Marco of the right wing.
Como's scouting hadn't had fumbles in terms of player assessment, and they splurged big on Chalaboa, so let's give them the benefit of the doubt. Estupinian/Ricci level player? Would be really surprising given their track record.

Didn’t Inter pay 45-50m for Spence?

I’d much rather have Moreira for 15m more

Moreira, Pulisic and Rabiot should be available to come off the bench which is nice to have.
Pulisic in not ready my friend as per reports. He will be available on Matchday 2 (28 of August). Rabiot will surely get minutes as a sub. Moreira most probably won't be risked. Saelamaekers will get minutes as well, or he may start from minute 1 as well.

Pray to God, Cisse, RLC and Ramos are enough for Matchday 1. Not exciting at all, but as I said earlier, it seems Amoric created a happy enviroment and the team is ready to get sacrificied for him. Don't underestimate a healthy RLC and an on-fire Chukueze.

Difficult opening match but we are still the better team.

I dont understand hype about Curtis Jones, nothing special about him
They hype him like its prime gerrard. Pool fans couldnt wait to get rid of him. Apparently its best midfield in europe according to inter fans.
Kebab 32
Zielinski 33
Barela 30

Stankovic s kid.
Crutis s mediocre trash.
Susic s gem imo. Great player.

I give starters a year at most before downfall begins. Kebab s already injury prone. Either way di marco and lautaro re backbones of that team.

The days of “hidden gems” are largely over. Every club has a deep and extensive scouting network.

If you want an A grade talent, you can be sure that the big English and spanish clubs are on him, as well as Bayern and PSG.

There are exceptions but largely this is the case

20-30m gets you players with obvious flaws - behavior issues like Theo, legal disputes like Leao, players who just lack overall quality to play at the highest level (Tonali), ones with some obvious holes in their game/small body of work (Reijnders), or injury prone players (Pulisic).

My source told me that tomorrow Cardinale will reiterate to Leao that there is no longer a place for him at Milan. He will tell him this with tact and sensitivity, but that is the stance being taken

Leao leaving. Damn. End of an era. Thanks for the scudetto. Good luck.

He should go to less physical epl. Easy to light it up there.

No chance Leao to have any impact in EPL , he is way too lazy to play there . Turkey / Spain / Saudi will suit him the best

I think that's an oversimplifcation. Players don't develop in a linear way. You can take a risk and stockpile lots of 10m - 20m players and work hard to develop them even before they reach the 50m range that we're now shopping in. That was our strategy before, and it's what clubs that develop players do (RB clubs, Dortmund, etc). They don't really have the pressure to win all the time so they can afford to take lots of chances on lots of players so that the numbers in the end work in their favor.

I think the flaw in what we used to do by trying to play that game was that Milan comes with a LOT of pressure. This became really evident after we won the title prematurely. Fans demand results (rightly so!) and that comes with pressure, and that's usually not good if you want to be a club that takes risks with youth and develop those 20m players into superstars. Young players will fuck up and make mistakes that cost you games.

I feel like we're transitioning to a different strategy now, much closer to the Zidanes y Pavones model of Real. We spend more on key players like Gila, Ramos and Moreira, but we don't fill the mid range of the squad with 20m 30m almost good players like Fofana, Ricci and Tomori. It looks like we're breaking the recruitment into key players we overspend on, but get the ideal player for the team + spend sub 10m on squad players with potential, like Athekame, Sankhoun, Odogu, etc. Those cheaper players are a lot easier to dispose of than high wage more established players. It already is looking like we have a much higher variance between the top end of our squad cost list and the bottom, with fewer players in the middle. In previous seasons, ever since 2019, our squad cost looked really unusual in that it was almost flat for the top 18 players or so. Everyone between 8 and 10m. That's changing significantly this year.

I think its overall better for us, since we get players that are less of a risk. Overall we don't spend too much more because we're losing a lot of the overvalued middle squad members. We still have a few interesting youngsters that can really develop if we're lucky.

People criticize players nowadays but its the same situation with them..who hate player after giving them joy. That 21’-22’ group was special..idc what happend after (Pioli losing it, Theo becoming a drug addict, Leao being lazy, Ibra becoming the villain, Maignan getting fat and other stuff people claim)…they gave me the most beautiful years of being an AC Milan fan (been since 03’..i was 6 at the time). I will always love them no matter what…we didnt have superstars like other teams..but man that group was special..every goal was celebrated like a CL Final 93rd minute winner..and i loved every second of it. I hope Amorim will and has Pioli’s skill to create a group that will die for the shirt and for each other..
3 days and we go again..Season 26 for me..
Forza Milan Sempre

Dias was City's captain in Community Shield, he has been their consistent starter for years, is far better than Guehi or this Uzbek guy, while being only 29. Why would City want to sell him? What could we offer him to bring him to Milan? Why would City want Leao, as they already have Grealish, Savinho, Doku, Echeverri, Foden and Cherki, all able to play on LW position and at least two of them being in better shape than Rafa has been in 2 years?
Strange gossip.

Ceterum censeo RLC has to be sold immediately.

Yes we need MF also, we cant really be serious with Modric as starter whole fucking season
Rabiot Modric Jashari Musah Comotto.
It's not perfect but it should be last of our priorities.
To be honest, I would leave it as it is and upgrade it next season when Modric (probably lol) retires.

I agree about Dias. We should abandon this rumor immediately.

My friend, regarding RLC, don't let the negative energy consume you. We HAVE to back him since he is bound to stay and start the opening matches until Pulisic is fit and we sign an AM to replace the rapper.

Too bad the source is garbage
we probably asked and it wont go anywhere from that point

but even if we just inquired, it points to Milan aiming to build a serious club

The Milan market is entering a decisive phase, especially regarding the attack. After the decision to sell Santiago Giménez to Porto, the Rossoneri management will face an important choice: intervene immediately in the market or give confidence to Francesco Camarda. 👀⚽

The first option would lead to a very attractive name: Joshua Zirkzee. 🇳🇱✨

The Dutch striker from Manchester United would indeed be one of the most appreciated profiles by Milan to complete the offensive line and offer Rúben Amorim a quality alternative to Gonçalo Ramos.

Zirkzee already knows Italian football perfectly thanks to his experience at Bologna, and precisely for this reason, he could represent an immediate solution for Serie A. 🔥

The most interesting aspect, however, is the possible formula of the operation. Manchester United would be willing to consider a loan with an option to buy, a solution that would allow Milan to contain the initial investment and evaluate the player's performance directly on the field. 💰🤝

From a tactical point of view, Zirkzee could be perfect for Amorim's 3-4-1 formation. He is not only an area striker but also loves to participate in the build-up, drop down the line, and create spaces for his teammates' insertions. 🎯⚡

However, the big question remains: invest in an already established striker or finally give true space to Camarda? 🌟

🤔 Rossoneri fans, would you take Joshua Zirkzee to Milan as a substitute for Gonçalo Ramos or prefer to bet everything on the young Camarda?
