1 am and 1 cb are needed. I think it's a must. Unless Gabbia can go to another level. I would love that but I don't think so.

I forgetten Suburra in my list. I have a streaming channel called MHZ choice that airs only foreign series with English subtitles and have watched some series from Sweden, Denmark, and Norway that are very good, especially the ones that deal with crime. I find them more realistic than the U.S. ones because of their suprising ends. They have shows from all over the world so I'm a frequent viewer.
Yes. Hopefully you have seen Broen(The Bridge), best nordic crime series ever.

One show that I think went under many peoples radar was ZeroZeroZero, an absolutely fantastic multi-national thriller crime drama spanning US, Africa and Middle East, with anchoring to italian mafia from southern Italy.

Musah is versatile, sure. But if that's enough to be part of the AC Milan squad, then I'm willing to play every position from goalkeeper to assistant physio.

Pretty certain Amorim will be our downfall. Football gods let me be wrong.

Gazzetta reports that following the meeting between Gerry and Ruben yesterday, the situation has changed and only 1 more signing is expected, Ruben prefers it to be the left footed AM rather than a CB.
Lol

"Situation has changed"

Ergo we overpaid for players, cant sell any and ran out of money

The more I hear and see about the players Amorim wants to keep and the formation + players he wants to play tomorrow… oh lord. RLC at am, Musah, Chukwueze, Estupinan.. wauw. It’s like we took a two-year stepback 🤣 I hope he’s seen some insane things in training. The season hasn’t started, so he get’s the benefit of the doubt!

But man, I hate the wingback-formation.
Honest question, because I don’t know:
How many teams have had big succes with wingbacks? I can think of Inter & Leverkusen (w. Grimaldo+Frimpong).

Please, give me hope.
I might forgive him tomorrow just because they returned late or only just got signed but from next week:

Chuku out Moreira in
RLC out Rabiot in
Cisse out Pulisic in

Musah starting ahead of Jashari will actually be something I will judge him for because there's no excuse.

We have a huge list of players that need to go.

I want 4 of the rumoured starters to be sold. RLC, Musah, Chuk and Estupi. If not then either better players will be forced to leave or we just won't sign better replacements.

I don't understand what we are doing.

It is aug 22, and we didn't manage to sell anybody. We had 3 dry loans for youngsters, Odogu, Kostic, and Athekame. We had 1 contract termination, in Bennacer. And a whole lot of nothing outside of that.

Estupinan staying means 1 thing - Diego Moreira is really considered as the RWB. I don't understand - Chuk was one of our best performers in preseason, and we buy a 50 mil player ahead of him, while on the other side, rocking with Bart/Estupinan? LWB was the most pressing need.

Terra staying means no more CB in, which is wrong. Gila is a perfect player for this system. Pavlovic and Gabbia are average, they have good qualities in some areas, but are not complete players, and not good enough passers. KDW is below average. Diawara is an unknown youngster, and Terra is garbage. We could have made 1 more signing here, but it seems we will stay as it is.

This year, we really missed one person from the management, who is dedicated solely to selling fodders. Our squad is huge, we have 31 players currently. I fear that due to the lackluster selling, we will loan out promising youngsters like Cisse and Comotto, to make room and shrink our squad, while keeping fodders.
Definitely a compounding of multiple factors on that front; failing to sign an SD and then giving up, a generally late start to the window because of the World Cup, Amorim taking his time evaluating players and having so many players on inflated wages who don't want to go to lesser clubs.

Not saying you are wrong, and that could be. But then again, this is exactly what people were saying after Ramos/Gila...and then we dropped 50m on Moreira.

We need a CF and another midfielder too

Folks acting as if a 41 yr old Modric as starter is completely fine, forgetting that he looked beyond past it in the second half of the season.

There aren't enough people talking about Modric, and the fact he's 41 and we want to compete in more than one competition?

Estu staying could also mean Bart is being considered as a LCB

Loftus is fine to keep as long as they don’t extend right now. Evaluate before the end of the year and resign ig he actually does well.

Ricci over Musah is also an obvious one for me.

Anyway, this rebuild is going to take 2 full years. But nothing less than top 4 this year can be considered a success

Last match without Leao in the lineup:

Milan 1:2 Cagliari

(the bye bye UCL classic) :proud:
Leao played from the 67th minute, and Milan could've scored one more goal during the final 30 minutes without him

Perhaps my logic of Moreira ending up being the RWB is wrong.
This isn't what I want but could be the starting line up with the back up 11:

Maignan
Gila Gabbia Pavlovic
Chuku Modric Jashari Moreira
Rabiot Ramos Pulisic

------------------------------
Torriani
De Winter Diawara Bartesaghi
Alexis Comotto Musah Estupi
RLC Camarda/Santi Cisse

------------

Which is obviously very very weak depth.
This is also on the assumption that Tomori, Fofana, Ricci, Leao and Nkunku leave. I put Diawara at CB but really De Winter would cover both RCB and CB deputy.

Thats why I feel it's very important to let Chuk, RLC, Musah and Estupi leave on top of these names. To actually create space in the squad.

I don't mind Chuk staying as a back up RWB too much. And Alexis as Pulisic back up. Id actually loan out Cisse, despite doing okay in pre season. And then Rabiot on the other side and sell RLC. Sign a young talent on that side. Unless Cisse can play there.

I really hope this is just Gazzetta rage fishing for likes, clicks and comments. Otherwise I can't explain why very time Jashari drops a MVP performance he ends up on the bench in the next game. Make it make sense.

I'd have liked to see Bart there, but IIRC he wasn't tried there for even 1 minute in preseason, even when there was only Vladimirov.

Moreira Modric Jashari Estupinan
Rabiot Ramos Pulisic
------------------------------
Torriani
Terraciano De Winter Diawara
Chuck Comotto Musah Bartesaghi
RLC Camarda Cisse

And it seems like the RAM position is Amorim's #1 priority, so Rabiot goes into the midfield and Comotto becomes 5th choice there

My realistic expectation is something along the lines of Roma or Como last season. Plenty of ups and downs, probably some games where everything suddenly clicks and others where we look like we've forgotten how to play football – but most importantly, a clear sense of where this journey is headed. Both eventually made it into the CL, although admittedly with a generous helping hand from us and Juve royally fucking up on the final matchday.

Of course I want us to hit the ground running immediately. I want to see Amorim-ball from day one and start smashing teams left and right. But how realistic is that outside of Football Manager when you're basically pulling a 180-degree turn in terms of football? New coach, new system, completely different principles in possession and pressing, several new starters and probably half the starting XI being asked to do things fundamentally differently than before. That's not something you install during a few weeks of pre-season and expect to work flawlessly from matchday one.

So for me, especially early on, performances and development will matter almost as much as results. I can live with dropped points and ugly games if I can see what we're trying to become and if, two months later, we're clearly further along than we were two months before. Something never seen under Allegri, mind you. Because what I don't want is another season of random football where every bad result sends us back to the drawing board and nobody seems to know what the actual plan is. Give me growing pains with a purpose, and then in the end, we'll see where that let us ending up. I can absolutely live with that.

If Amorim thinks Serie a will be easier than epl then he is going to be In For a rude awakening. Serie a is much more physical and tactical. And not to mention the dodgy ref calls. Good luck and hopefully he does well.

Do you follow the local league much though?
I know Maccabi was always good. But I dint know there was actually a team that goes by the moniker of Sheva lol.
I followed Maccabi Tel Aviv for a while, they're like the premier team here. They did some CL campaigns, and we drawed against Juve at home.

Specifically Sheva, sheva in Hebrew means 7, and it's crazy that Shevchenko took that number for his Milan tenure, he claims that it wasn't intentional but there's no way.

The score was 1:2 before Leao entered the pitch.
Milan without Leao couldn't score "one more goal" in 67 minutes, but of course they would score one in the final 23 minutes.

More stadium images... This time the evolution of the San Siro.

Have we got any new images of the potential new stadium design?

I really hope we keep some sort of nod to the previous designs, with swooping spirals???

Surely we're not diverting completely from what made the San Siro such an iconic stadium???!!!
