It really is so depressing. I don't know why they do it. They don't need the help, they'll win eventually. Doing shit like that erodes trust (what's left of it) and just makes everyone care less and less. It's not incompetence. They are being influenced, intentionally or subconsciously, to favor Inter and the big clubs generally.

It's the fear of retribution.

Provinciale clubs can scream at the top of their lungs and nothing will happen because they hold no actual political power, only a handful of clubs do.
Marotta's juve, Marotta's inter, ADL's Napoli, Lotito's lazio... these are the clubs that can ruin a referee's career.

We used to have that power with G, and we've been sorely missing someone like him in those rooms. Not even a respectable figure like Maldini could do much against those powerful dinosaurs, because that's just how everything works in Italy.

Musah for the USNT and his time in Spain, was really good as a DM in midfield.

He retrieved the ball well and carried it well, he's just lacking smarts... But I think if you limit his options and tell him, instruct him better, he can fulfil a simple role.

If the midfielders are to offer more cover, allowing other players to overlap and attack, he actually makes some sense in that manner.

RLC, Estupinian, Bondo, Terra and Chuk still being here worries me more to be honest.

Musah shadowing Salad and training with Modric wouldn't be the worst way to give him a season to actually try redeem himself.

If that doesn't work, sell him!!!

I'm genuinely rooting for you to be right. Amorim seems to trust him more than Jashari at DM, which I absolutely cannot understand, but who the fuck am I to judge. Maybe Amorim sees something there that I don't. Because whenever I watch Musah, I see a player who's attracted to the ball like a mosquito to a lightbulb. There's just zero tactical discipline, zero positional awareness and way too much confusion. Sometimes he'll do something that makes you think "holy shit, there's a young Kessie in there somewhere", and five minutes later he'll do something that makes you wonder how the fuck this guy isn't playing in Serie B. Or C.

I'm just not comfortable with him at all. And I'm usually all for giving young players time, opportunities and room to make mistakes – Cissè being the obvious example. But with Musah I feel like we've reached the sunk-cost stage. He's been here long enough, we've seen enough and I'm not particularly interested in spending another season suffering through those growing pains hoping that eventually everything clicks. If someone still believes they can turn all those physical tools into an actual footballer, I'd rather let them run that experiment than us.

Anyway, it looks like we're being compensated for his yearly ammortisation and the buy-out option is more or less his book value in a year. Given how we refused Portos offer for Gimenez I strongly believe RB Leipzig is going to pay Nkunkus wages too, which means we're saving the 11.5M yearly gross wages (and some still believe this was one of Furlanis "opportunities") as well.

Given that he's done absolutely nothing last year (and the years before) to make clubs go wild, I guess loan + option is best we could do.

Because footballers aren't slaves, and if Nkunku strongly prefers a move to RB Leipzig, we can't just ship him off to Newcastle against his will. I'm pretty sure that if there had been a realistic opportunity to move him permanently instead of settling for a loan, we would've taken it.

Exactly. If Amorim avoids relegation this season, let him work for another summer. He SEEMS to actually want to rebuilt the squad and sell the trash. One summer though is not enough (unless you have a kinda unlimited budget).
