Dont placate the fans that cant read the room - talent, potential, past standing - all of those are crutches.
We have been failing the past seasons with him as protagonist and no prestigious clubs are willing to take a chance which simply says as dysfunctional as Milan is, we arent wrong in shifting away from him.

He is more trouble than he is worth as he compromises both your attack and defensive phase.

Best possible scenario - he gets EPL and CL
We should get very close to the valuation with no loan shenanigans.

So far, from what I've seen with us under Amorim, our striker doesn't really get the service for me to worry about the striker position. It looks more like a position of self-sacrifice and dirty work than a position to maximize a striker's chances to score.

Maybe with Pulisic, Leao, Rabiot, Moreira, and Modric in the lineup, we see more service to the striker? I hope so, mostly for Ramos's sake. He's got the pressure, the big price-tag, and it worries me that (so far) our striker looks like he's expected to do Firmino-style dirty work.

Again, with other players in the game, as the system gels, hopefully things open up--but I'd rather put our resources into a new CB (honestly two) and a new LWB before I went after a striker.

Ramos, Camarda, and RLC as your emergency option would be fine for me if we get the other pieces.

What a start for Roma and Malen! I wrote a couple of days ago to not under-estimate Roma as a scudetto contender because I like their transfer market and Gasperini on his second year always does better.

Many prople scoffed at the idea but if one looks at the roster objectively they're stacked, certainly better than Como, Juve, and Atalanta. Hopefully we're in the mix and Napoli also falters as they didn't look great in their opener. I would hate to have a scudetto race end in December with mofos Merda having a big lead.

PS: they got Malen, we got Fullkrug. Whoever made that choice should be sentenced to at least one year in prison.

Roma is going to be a contender this season i believe.. gasp has been there for over a year now and seems to have found his way. He will only get better it’s the perfect place for him. Not milan or juve pressure or expectations but also not Atalanta small stature. Roma, unlike Atalanta, is a club that can win if things go well. I think they are going to be big this season.

Do I think Camarda and RLC are reliable options? No.

But I think our CB and LWB situation is so bad that I'd rather get CBs and a LWB and wait until January before I think about a backup striker.

I think our CBs are all poorly suited to this style, the only one who looks comfortable (Gila) can't last 90 minutes.
