The problem of Pellegri is not only injury but he missed years of growth. He stopped playing football when he was 16.5. He wasn’t even ready for a first team and missed all this time.

I think having Pellegri in the team is not more than having Colombo.

My hope with Pelegri is that he's young. Maybe his injuries are also due to his body adjusting to the rigours of the game. Maybe this year he won't have any significant injuries, especially if we use him wisely.

Colombo has Petagna ceiling at best. Pellegri might turn into something good or fail miserably (or anything in between), we don't know.

Colombo needs playing time so it was better for him to move away. Pellegri needs a patient environment to work in his physical condition to prevent further injuries. He might play 20 minutes here and there. Milan is a good choice for him.
