Because Pioli sees him as an useful utility player.

Didn't know Florenzi had so many games in midfield. It's a positive if he can cover several positions and will free up money for an RW.

A capable RW is the best investment we could make in this window. Give me Ziyech or Berardi and I will go into this season with so much confidence.

Having a good squad is great, but one of our biggest issues last season was that there were too many young players and not enough experience. I'm happy that we're balancing it out because pedo mode won't win us any titles.

The lack of subs fucked us last season.

Ballo-Florenzi-Giroud is an improvement on the bench over Mandzu & Dalot.

But improvement is needed in midfield and RW.
