We will have an open game, which is good for us, ranieri is the only italian who dont have a clue how to catenaccio, id rather face sampdoria than bologna anyday. Infact sampdoria is below udinese, spezia, parma, benevento, genoa. In par with cagliari for the easiest opponent around midtable team.

Ben would start even at 50% for Algeria lol.

I am ok starting Tonali who is well rested and training all week than risk Benna if there is some lack of fitness there ..

He is one of our top 3 players and we need him fully fit for remaining games.

Dalot has played the full 90 in all 3 games for Portugal u-21 . Saele hasn?t played a minute on the other hand and was probably training in Belgium squad as RWB and we know their RB is more reserved role than their LWB who is usually more of a winger. In any case we can switch things during game if it ain?t working .

Also Samu has been with us training so..

I don?t mind the decision at all tbh . Hoping to see a good performance if Saele does start.

Dalot not injured but Saele preferred. That tells me, with 10 games to go that Pioli realized that Dalot as a RB sucks paired with Theo, and/or that he isn't being redeemed so give minutes to our own where Saele is preferred to Kalulu.

Also, Krunic wing again. Relying a lot on the midfield, Hakan, and Ibra this game. Leao still out, Rebic and Hauge on bench.

Kessie-Bennacer-Hakan is our best midfield triangle in more than a decade. The doubts are about their fitness and form, not their 2020 performances.
The Spezia game is the only sample we have of them, from start, in 2021. Hakan seems to have picked it up again, judging by his goals and assists lately. Bennacer is the biggest concern.

So Rebic isn't at 100% then, I assume.

With Krunic and Samu starting on each flank, Pioli is anchoring down on the offensive end, but also adding some defensive steel to contain Damsgaard's trickery and Candreva's repetitive crosses.

We'll have to rely on the Hakan - Ibra combination working to perfection, and possibly Rebic coming off the bench to save the day. Probably Dalot on for Samu at some point too.
