Italy dominated the ball possesion against Sweden last night ... 72% against 28% yet they still misses the World Cup for the first time since 1958 at SWEDEN .. seems to be Sweden is their bad jinx ..
World Cup without Italy will be like soup without salt .. you can eat it but never like it

The way they played, they wouldn't get far in the competition anyway.

And now the young generation will definitely get a chance in the next Italy squad.

Just goes to show how fuckin overrated some of these so called Italian prospects are

One of the subs failed to score a single goal in the croissant league

Immobile :fp:

:fp:

Who r we talking about here? Cz theres barely any “prospect” in that Dinosaur Italian team.

Then theres the likes of massaro who thinks the croissant league is worth watching:lol:

Italy is going to go EXACTLY the way Milan did after they got rid of their senatores.

Straight down to obscure mediocrity.

Your future cuc... I mean prospects are right here:

But... But.. Insigne...

Yeah, he's used to it as well:

Cool story.

Tell this to France who crashed out of WC2010 because their senatores stopped being relevant.

Look how mediocre they are now. :proud:

Italy is not France

The French actually always have flair and talent despite their result.

Azzurri fans hold up their savior as a Napolitano midget who no coach likes while their most consistent player since euro 2012 is some 32 year old rat named giaccherini.

Yes.
Desipte the croissant talent hype, if Italy had a proper coach, they wouldn't be much worse than current France. :o :proud:

Also, did Griezman and Pogba become great players overnight?
Belotti and Veratti have just as much hype behind them.
But they also have a clueless coach who doesn't know the fuck he is doing.

Italy's talent is not great, but there are some prospects like Cutrone, Bernardeschi, Conti ... defense and GK will always be covered. I can see them doing OK with a coach like S. Inzaghi.

verratti is average with italy ever since he joined the NT, it's not a coaching problem.

at club level, he has barely improved and even rabiot(who doesn't start for france) has clearly surpassed him even though verratti had a head start.

I'm going to ignore the fact that you compared belotti's talent with griezmann

italian sides of the past with real talent (2006 team) would have beat this sweden team without a coach

ventura definitely deserves some criticism, but the so called in form players absolutely bottling it ever since he took over are to blame as well.

I am not comparing talent, I am comparing potential.
Like Neruda said, Italy are covered in defense.

The next coach needs to figure out the midfield and the attack.
Yes, it's a coach problem when Italy's midfield is well over 30 and Immobile is the main striker.

belotti isn't even near the potential required to become as good as griezmann, he's immobile caliber.

immobile is tearing serie A apart, if he benches him then the fanboys will cry that he benched immobile.

belotti has 3 league goals this season , hardly deserving of a starting spot.

He is tearing up Serie A at week 12 out of 38.

Let me know if he finishes the season as the top scorer.

Italian football needs restructuring, it’s not the coach fault. It has been a free fall for the Italian national team since they hired Donadoni. They are still living in the stone ages, Germany invested near 700m post 1998 World Cup and look at them. It will take time to get Italy to a healthy position starting with u15 all the way up.

I don’t support Italy but it’s sad to see them self-destruct.

where's goodfella, I'm sure he was celebrating this victory.

+ the fact that this sweden side did it without zlatan was probably 100x as sweet for him.

Also, I surely hope Montella watched this game and took some notes on Ventura's 3-5-2.
Same problems as Milan - midfield struggles, can't create much, vulnerable defense.

Can we have our fucking 433 back please?

We dont play 352 anymore.

See there's your mistake.... reading what fodderuda says :fp:

If Italy were covered in defence they would have qualified for the WC

Catenaccio is so last decade. :o

Now it's all about molto attacare.
Serie A top scorer Immobile will rape all opposition.
