Great news on Laxalt. Sounds like it ended up break even on the books.

Maldini mercato train rolls calmly forward.

#ACMilan are working for the sales: #Genoa have shown interest for #Conti, meanwhile #Castillejo has been called by #Espanyol and #RealBetis. Genoa, #Cagliari and #Verona have shown interest for #Caldara. #Udinese looking #Pobega. #Wolfsburg and #Watford are in race for #Hauge

Caldara, Conti & Samu should be permanent deals.
Pobega and Hauge, send them out on loan.

De Paul to Milan is a difficult deal because the player is valued for at least ?30M by Udinese but Milan have already initiated talks with the club

I would sell Leao for 30mln yesterday. I know Milan will not take Perisic coz of age, but for 10mln I'd take him in a second. 10mln for him and 20 for a midfielder for Leao is a superb deal.

For me, big no for sales of Pobega and Hauge. Unless theres re-buy clause or something.

Still yes to De Paul. Adli is a kid who cant make impact in serie a next year. Ok ok as a project.

If we could get Firpo, Giroud, Adli and De Paul over the line in the next few weeks that would be very positive.

Still leaves something to be desired tho.

Whyyyyy :( The guy is captain.
It is very strange, especially at that age and his positioin, it think it is because his father is coach at Atalanta and probably will have more chance breaking through in the first 11 of Atalanta than here at Milan.

#ACMilan are still interested in Amine #Adli (born in 2000), who will leave #ToulouseFC this summer. The french club ask €10/12M to sell the winger, but his contract expires in 2022 and #Toulouse is still in Ligue2. #Rossoneri are ready to offer €8M. #transfers

Add Diaz + Dalot and I?ll be satisfied.

I doubt the money is there for the type of winger we all want to sign. Like god dm knows how much Correa would cost now.

According to Andrea Propato of Radio Rossonera, Ceballos is a name that once again appeals to the Milan management as a possible option for the midfield, to compliment the existing trio of Franck Kessie, Ismael Bennacer and Sandro Tonali who should soon sign permanently.

Moreover, he adds that new Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti would not oppose the sale of the 24-year-old, who made 25 league appearances for Arsenal last season and didn’t manage to score a goal, but racked up three assists playing in a deeper role.

Nope pls :fp:
I still don't know why we got rid of a useful player like Meite.
Sure Ceballos is more skillful but Meite was more useful and could probably be a vice Kessie in a pinch.

Ceballos had real talent but I think he’s weak mentally. Of course he was at a bad environment like arsenal…but still.

The new management has done really well not just to find talented players but potential leaders, or at the very least players with upward trajectory. When you choose to rely on youth and inexperience you want to find mentally strong players, people who are showing growth and ready to make a step forward. Galliani when the budget dried up took a lot of gambles on talented players who for some reason didn’t work elsewhere, probably had something to do with why the team was so soft and would lose their heads.

This team has a lot of unity and spirit, the players believe in themselves. Even guys from less prestigious backgrounds like hauge, he may have struggled sometimes but he came off the bench and contributed crucial goals. Guys like ceballos, he’s just going downhill year after year. I’d look elsewhere

Although Meite did okay, he also showed his limitations.

From the management's perspective, he is already set as a player and won't see much improvement or potential rise in value.

Dzeko wasn?t good this last season. He has declined a lot and it was apparent.

Roma stripped him of captains band and publicly shamed him, so it's no wonder he didn't played well. His favourite club is Milan, and favourite player Shevchenko, so I don't doubt that playing in our colours will make him give his best. Still a great ST. And he would like to stay in Italy, so that's huge plus.
But, Giroud seems like far more easier operation to handle.

Adli, Giroud/Dzeko, Kamara, Hakan staying, Firpo...that's more than good.
Then, new contracts to Kessie and Calabria, and also Theo and Bennacer, and maybe replacement for Romagnoli if he leaves.

Unless Romagnoli leaves...Kjaer, Kessie or Calabria won't get the armband. Settle down people. Romagnoli will HAVE to leave. Milan don't just take the armband from someone and give it to someone else. Romagnoli, as bad as he looked, is no Montolivo.

If the official captain is parked squarely on the bench then the de facto captain will be...
Romagnoli if he stays has a huge hill to climb. The new level of Milan is not where he is.

Yes but we have two young players already in the Ceballos role - doesnt make sense to me.
