if it is in season, then i need to try and catch some of these games for myself, as it seems he scores at least a goal a game of late

Jeah i think the same you can see it from the celebrations and stuff. I't really doesent matter if he plays great but I really hope he humbles if he comes to milan

man is not ego is CONFIDENCE this kid is totally sure of his abilities and he show this on every game.

and yeah Alexadre Pato celebrations are cool, diferents like him.

Why B&G wait to much with this kid, they know that Milan needs him.

Nano7, as a brazilian(and after read your posts)all I can say is that you really saw Pato to play...You hit the point with the Sheva/Ronaldo comparison.

BTW, as you said, Pato has no EGO problem...this kid is just super confident.
All the reports here in Brazil are positives about Pato personality and behaviour, and they say that the kid is also VERY humble and professional.

As a brazilian(an Milanista), I really hope Pato becomes a Milan player...This kid has all the talent in the world, and is also the great Brazilian hope for Careca/ Romário/Ronaldo heir...So, I will be really sad to see this kid waste his talent and development in the same situation of Marcelo(left-back) in Real Madrid.

In a Milan Champion side, without the pression to be the man in the offense(since we have Kaká, Ronaldo, Gila and Pipo), with Maldini as a diary example, Milan LAB, and the great atmosphere of the Club, I have no doubts that Pato will go to develop in the next greatest striker in the world in a few years...

BTW, Alexandre Pato besides his age, is already "THE MAN" of a big team(Internacional) in Brazil. His team was struglling, and since Pato come back from Under-20 WC, his goals(and great plays) had given victories and tranquillity for the team...this isn´t a common 17yo player or one of the several young promises that every day appear here in Brazil...this boy is an reality!!!
It will be a GREAT mistake to let this kid go to another club...

He can only come in winter because he's only 17 and won't be 18 till September and you are not allowed to sign south american players under the age of 18.

He will be better then Inzaghi I think but I think the best we could do is make a deal with Internacional so they can use him this year ( they will snatch the deal much sooner because they can keep him a bit longer) and then maybe loan him out if he won't be good enough

that's because Pato is born on 2nd September... which is 3 days too late before his 18th birthday or else we could have signed him by 31st August...

Afaik there IS a backdoor for <18yo players to come to Europe. Something to do with his parents to come with him iirc. Maybe not every club would get that permission, but if there's such backdoor, we should be able to use it.

Chelsea, Inter and Real Madrid have targeted Alexandre Pato, but the young Brazilian says he only has eyes for “fantastic” Milan.

The Under-20 sensation is lighting up the transfer market and has already been labelled the new Kaka at the age of 17.


“Milan are flying over to Brazil to sign me? That is fantastic,” he told Spanish newspaper ‘As’ and several Brazilian media.


“I won’t be meeting with their emissaries unless Internacional and my agent Gilmar Veloz give me the go ahead. All I can do is wait and hope.”


It’s reported that on Monday consultant Leonardo will fly to Porto Alegre for negotiations with his club Internacional.


This weekend Coach Carlo Ancelotti stated that Pato would most likely arrive in January, as by that stage he would have turned 18.


The offer Milan have prepared is said to be in the region of £14m to beat competition from rivals Inter, Chelsea and Real Madrid.


It would be a similar scenario to the capture of Kaka in 2003, when Leonardo also acted as their representative to broker the deal.


In fact, Kaka’s presence is an important factor for Pato, as his family is very religious and wants to ensure there is a positive role model when he flies to Europe alone.


Pato will be given a five-year contract starting out at £800,000 per season, rising to £1.3m by 2011-12.
