FFS guys, Ambrossini has had TONS of injuries his entire career, more than Pato's, he's 35 and yet even when he was clearly in pain he gave his all out there and was our best midfielder. I've been criticizing Pato's game for the past couple of weeks and even today, he was having a shit game until he scored. But the game's over now, he scored the winner for us, and we should appreciate that and move on. Thank God he's not injured.

But I guess it doesn't make sense to use reason and logic with haters. They only see the negatives in any situation but please stop with the unnecessary drama.

Havent seen the highlights yet (just reading). This is actually the second time he has just walked straight off then.

It is troublesome in the team dynamic but it was a Coppa and we were up. Allegri should straighten that shit out and if Daddy in law wants to make another call then so be it. Daddy in law did make the right call the first time but if he called Allegri on this he would be dead wrong.

When was the last competitive team you played on? What Pato did is not acceptable on any level if he's ok. You don't leave your teammates like that. End of story. I don't recall sheva, kaka, pippo, maldini, nesta etc. doing that unless they had serious injury..... i do recall ronaldinho doing similar..

Never mind only one ankle, I´ve played basketball with both ankles twisted, , countless times with a fever, twisted wrist... a lot of shit for low level.

Playing on a level like Pato. I would be prepared to collapse on the pitch.

yeah, exactly. Pato has been trying very hard recently and he no longer has a lack of work rate.

he was taking caution with his injury. after suffering so many hamstring injuries, when feeling a pain in his hamstring, i am sure he would get worried.

Ok, but those 3 years weren't recent. Also, Ambrosini is the captain for a reason. Even if he's injured and there are no subs, he has to lead by example and fight till the last minute. I applaud him for that.

Could you tell me who else publicly criticized him other than Allegri and Ancelotti after that one game?

Why can't we just enjoy this win, enjoy his goal, enjoy SES92's promising performance and enjoy Merkel's return? I'll be the first one to criticize Pato when he deserves it, but today's not one of those days.

Its not like pato didn't give his all when he was on the field. He had 12 injuries in the past 2 years, and anyone who criticize him for leaving with 5 minutes left in the game are just being unreasonable.

What Pato did is wrong on all levels though in a team sport. At least do like the rest of the jokers and fake it, lie to the coaching staff and wait for them to take you off.

And as for ankles, some people can play and others cant - that is down to physiology. I can completely roll mine and walk off the pain in about 15 mins where I have friends that slightly tweak theirs and they swell up like melons.

my stream died and i didn't actually see what he did but by going from what people have said on this forum, i would have done the same thing......

People are different and just because you don't see the reason doesn't make you right mate...... i might be sticking up for him only for him to leave, but who knows? his motivation might have gone but i don't know that, you don't know that....the most important thing is he's a MILAN player and one that has been plagued by injuries which has staggered his progress since he joined us....he should be on messi / ronaldo level right now but unfortunately he's not..... can you really hold it against him for not wanting to risk and injury for a coppa match which he'd already more or less scored the winner in?!

Ambro was trying to figure out what the issue was. Merkel also doesn't have a history of muscular problems. If I were a physio, I'd feel much safer risking sending Merkel back out there than sending Pato. The physios did the right thing.

yeah, let him go off. it was a really cold day, which really increases the chance of muscle injuries. he has a history of them. he felt a pain so went out. if he had stayed on to secure a Cup win against Novara, everyone would be pissed at him for that.
