I am making this thread for anybody who plays Fantacalcio.

We can discuss 'l'asta" (draft/auction day), players, etc.

This is also a place where we can ask recommendations on what players to play on any given match day.

I'm hoping there are some members that do play fantacalcio and can participate in this group.

ALSO....for any guidance or questions regarding Fantacalcio (maybe you want to do it for first time) I am willing to help as well.

This is more of a thread where we "talk" about fantacalcio.

Fantacalcio is literally like "fantasy football".....its very extensive. And a lot of fans in Italy play it.

For us to create a league here, we would have to do a live auction draft, etc. It would not be easy.

I created this thread more as a discussion group for those who play fantacalcio in their own leagues.




Then again, if anybody would be interested in doing it we could potentially set it up. But it wouldnt be the easiest thing to do.

Have you ever played any other fantasy sports? It is very similar to the ones they do in USA with American football and basketball.

I’ll give a quick summary….

So there is a database of all of the serie A players. Each player starts with a “market value”…. So for example gabbia starts at 1, and Leao starts at 30.

You create a league of 6-10 people who each create their own team.

You start with a certain amount of credits to build your team. We start with 1000. And you all do a LIVE auction draft. So for example someone calls Leao and he starts at 30 credits, and then you bid for him as high as you want until someone gets him. Last year Leao went for like 75 credits.

And everyone takes turns calling players until you fill your team with 3 Goalkeeper, 8 defenders, 8 midfielders, and 6 attackers. Not spending more than 1000 credits.

Then each week you choose your starting 11 players, and you play against another team for your league.

The players you put in get points based on their match rating plus and plus/minus points for goals, assists, cards, clean sheets, etc.
