Yes so who should replace Menez ?

There are a number of options, I guess. But if we continue with Pippo, it's no longer a simple question of replacing one player with another to gain a marked difference/positives results. It's too late for that, I think. The team has collapsed. (It's not a very nice thing to say, I know, but in a way it's ironical that Menez has never been injured enough to miss matches that allowed Pippo to test alternatives. )

The first 2 games were awesome!!

I remember the italian media speculating after those two games that Inzaghi could be Milan's Ferguson.

:-'(

Sky reported that Milan will take their final decision on Inzaghi's future tomorrow.

Great! But we don't have a bus!

Sorry Pippo, way past your time to go, quit and show some self respect.

Inzaghi to RadioUno: "Resignation? Do not run away, I certainly do not give up"

The home defeat against Genoa is likely to close the adventure at the helm of AC Milan's Filippo Inzaghi, who nevertheless rejects the idea resignation speaking on Radio 1 :

"I'm here to talk about a game played not well , Genoa deserved to win and we will see who will decide now. Quitting would run away, but I certainly do not want to give up. "

Sorry to see Milan so much?
"I'm sorry to all, we must accept it and try to fight for the return to Milan in its place, the only recipe I know is that of work."

What can we expect in these last few games?
"A Milan reacting, fielding what he, trying to close with dignity because they wear the Milan shirt is always prestigious."

After the first few games Pippo had options to use either Honda or Saponara as AM and maybe play Niang more when it was obvious that Menez was playing for AC MENEZ and not AC MILAN.

It was obvious almost from the get go that playing Menez as prima punta/false 9 was the only option. Play a CF next to him and they will never receive the ball at all. We could have got Mandzukic or Lewandowski playing CF for us and Menez would still not pass them the ball. That is reality.

Whether it was Allegri, Seedorf or Pippo, they specialized to reward players who performed horrible in a constant basis with more playing time.

Hopefully he gets to coach a lower level Serie A team or even a Serie B team. With time he will come good.

He should start in the lower divisions ... Not serie a cos if he loses a few games in succession he'll be sacked which wont do him any good. The other chairmen wont patient like B&G.

Idk if he should take a low Serie A team. Relatively high coverage of his moves and if he fails (i.e. relegates), his coaching career could take a big hit. Possibly one that he will never overcome.

Look at Gullit. Even bigger stature than Pippo but his coaching career never took off. No matter the amount of credit you've built up as a player, it doesn't necessarily means it carries over into your coaching career.

Though I guess you couldn't blame him for being eager to prove his critics wrong. Seedorf is sitting on a 2,5m contract, he'd be crazy to give that up. Pippo could earn the same 1m at a club like Sassuolo I guess so I can see that happening.

I don't think firing Inzaghi is the solution, we don't have the players and the management. I say fire Galliani before he fires the coach. And fire most of the players let's rebuilt from scratch. Beautifying shit is impossible

I like EuroMax, but the midfielders aren't any better now. De Jong, Muntari and Monto all have regressed, and/or having season ruined by injuries. Boli is Boli. Van Ginkel = Cristante. Bonaventura..he's much better as LW or CAM. Essien..

He has better wingers/SS/CAM to pick from now, and doesn't have to field Amelia, but still...

EuroMax without 3 solid compatible midfielders for his beloved 3 man midfield is like dividing him by zero.

We'd probably not be this miserable, but I doubt we'd finish in the Top 5, especially with Lazio and Sampdoria having great seasons.

Its a shame that this didn't work out at all, would have been nice if a ex great player would have done a brilliant job.

Well i guess the Simione's of this world are a rarity.

The team isn't CL quality, but it's good enough for a 4th/5th spot. It's just that Pippo is out of his depth and couldn't handle it. Even fucking Allegri would've done better.

Bar from hoping a new inexperienced coach would create enough temporary entusiasmo to fight for EL which i really doubt it will since the club is a wreck theres really no other point of sacking him for the last few matches. Let him end the season and then part ways.

People here act as if they'd have said no to Milan offering them the coaching position.

"Do you want to manage Milan for a year for 1m?"

"Umm no. I don't think I'd do a good job"

Just like people saying managers should resign to save their dignity. That's akin to saying you should just give up and never try with anything.

Nobody is perfect, he is also the guy that won :

- First manager to win La liga for Atletico in over 18 years, with a sub par squad compared to Barca and Real.
- Copa: same as la liga minus one year.
- Super copa, same as la liga.
- Europa league winner

I can never shake the image I have of Simeone as Catania's manager...that time he played an All-Argentine XI particularly sticks out.
