Inter stunned by Bari Thursday 19 December, 2002
Serie B strugglers Bari have dumped Italian giants Inter out of the Coppa Italia after winning at the San Siro.
The southern outfit had already won the first leg 1-0 two weeks ago, but collected a famous 2-1 victory in Milan to book themselves a quarter-final tie against Lazio.
Despite losing Mohammed Kallon, who was stretchered off in the first half wearing a neck brace. Inter did manage to level the aggregate scores in the 56th minute thanks to Sergio Conceicao.
The Portuguese winger (pictured) got on the end of an inch perfect Alvaro Recoba cross to header in from close range.
But Inter's joy was short lived as the away side equalised on the night just three minutes later. Bella Vista whipped in a dangerous cross which was sliced into his own net by defender Carlos Gamarra.
Inter now needed to score twice to qualify but Bari kept their shape and grabbed their second goal in injury time.
Gaetano Agostino's cross was flicked away by goalkeeper Francesco Toldo, but the ball bounced directly onto Spinesi's head to ripple the back of the net.
The Nerazzurri have now amazingly won just one of their last 11 Coppa Italia matches.
Inter 1-2 Bari (1-3 agg)
Scorers: Conceicao (I) 56, Gamarra (I) og 59, Spinesi (B) 93

Now that just 2 funny, how bad does it get? Guess they should take it a little more seriously.
In the mean time we are hot. I was just thinking that we should try to push back the winter break to help us out. I can't think of a team that is a hot as Milan at the moment and w/ everyone else in Seria A struggling for form (except Lazio) 2 more week of play could really help. Beside I hate it when they take breaks; they leave me w/ nothing to watch on the weekends.
