I can't believe Milan let go of Cassano.

When I first read the headline that Cassano was swapped with Pazzini I was in shock. I still am.

Do understand that he forced his way out, yes.

We didn't go to Inter and say "Oh hey, Massimo. We're looking to get rid of Cassano for no reason other than to rile up our fans, and we want to swap him for Pazzini. Is there any way for that to happen?"

No. Cassano blew up (Unsurprisingly) and asked to be sold... which then happened.

People acting like Cassano would have been perfectly content to stay and would play well with us are as foolish as the people who pretend that Pirlo would be as good with us as he is with Juventus.

But, who said I'm a Juventus fan? I might not be an avid Milan supporter but that doesn't mean I'm a Juventus fan. Pirlo left on a free because he wanted a huge contract when he was playing like crap and didn't look motivated. He wouldn't have performed like he has at Juventus if he stayed here.

Cassano forced himself out. Blame him for that.

If Berlu and Galliani can be blamed for one thing here, it's that they allowed players to leave to the club that they wanted to go.

Pirlo left for Juve and accepted a contract lower than what we were offering... then proceeded to find motivation and play better... Cassano left for Inter after we'd stood by him through a stroke, heart attack and many fitness problems and then he plays well.

There was another interview right after the Euros where he basically repeats the same thing and mentions Ibra as well. I just can't find it atm.. My point is, if Cassano was this open to the media, then Galliani must've known as well. He's not stupid. Yes, he knew he had to sell him... but the deal with Inter was fucking terrible.

We're gonna have to agree to disagree on Cassano + Pazzini's worth.

Player A: 30, history of fitness problems and tantrums, recent heart attack and stroke, can't last more than 55 minutes in a game, better than player B but not world beating.

Player B: 28, no fitness problems or history of tantrums, can easily last 90 minutes, worse than player A but still good.

Now, who would you pay more for?

Cassano is good and better than Pazzini. But his history of fitness problems and tantrums are what make him even less valuable.
