For me this was our best performance this season. Tactically perfect. Very mature in our approach. Not always precise but we handled it very well.

The pressing was not scattered but coordinated and timely. Not only that, our defensive shape was more intelligent than any other time this season. More compact and a few more players back, while still pressuring as soon as any forward pass came through.

Lazio were never a real threat and that’s promising given how vulnerable we’ve looked up until now. Credit where it’s due. Pioli’s instructions were spot on and we executed it to perfection.

I don't really understand the approach to the 1st half. You have 11 genuinely better players than Lazio, so why bypass them all by launching it from one tree to another? Reijnders is so damn smart and talented that I can't imagine making a game plan where you bypass his influence for 45 minutes. Lazio had so many counterattacks generated from Milan just turning the ball over and over and over again with the eyesore of a catapult tactic
