MILAN-BARCELLONA 4-2
15/03/2006
MILAN – Football great Demetrio Albertini opened The Night of the Stars’ scoresheet, netting Milan’s first goal of the evening in his very own good-bye celebration. The two sides played the first 40 minutes with squads from 1994 and the second with squads from 2006. Getting the party off to the right start at the beginning of the first half, Demetrio’s goal was followed with past and current Rossoneri champions Van Basten and Gilardino, which in addition to Nadal’s own goal carried Milan to a 4-2 victory in the charity game. Everyone who was present at the San Siro will remember it as a night of excellence, from past to present and a wonderful way to say good-bye to a great champion.
