Scored on his debut. It will be interesting to see how he does this season.

Will someone please explain again how the terms of this deal were favorable to Milan?

We off load a mediocre player to non rival team who's playing the Europa League post while we're aiming the scudetto; We're getting back what we paid for him AND dodging a minusvalenze

Nope. We’re loaning out the player to a rival team and if the player in fact turns out to be mediocre we’re getting him back next season.
The most successful outcome for Milan is that he explodes and Atalanta buy him at a bargain while Milan avoid a minusvalenze which tells you everything you need to know about how shit this deal is.

"rival team" is DEA rube or merda level ? He's good for atalanta, they'll redeem him, Milan receives its money and can invest on another player who fit the system.

CDK scores 1 and could have scored 3 but his confidence was letting him down at first.

Meanwhile our idiot coach was ghosting him for the entire season. :proud:

It is a shit deal. But with 0 goals and 1 assist in 30 odd games there is not much we can do.
We should have put a buy back clause.

A player who clearly was on a downward curve here at Milan and had no future under Pioli. Best we managed to get rid before his value started plummeting even further. Sometimes you get lucky with a buyer to take our expensive outcasts ala Piatek €27m from Hertha, Paqueta €26m from Lyon or Suso €24m from Sevilla, this time we did not and we had to settle for a loan move at a club where a lot of players tend to succeed. If we had no buyers on a permanent deal (talking about numbers close to €25m+ to avoid minusvalenza), why would we loan him to the likes of PSV, Sociedad or Fulham over Atalanta if our sole intention is to recoup the majority of the money we spent on him?

As for the semantics of the deal - If we had loaned him without any option to buy, Atalanta would undeniably be less interested in taking a punt on him and wouldn't continuously play him through tough times as we did - given he was our player and a huge investment. I mean the numbers we're talking about: €3m loan fee + €24m buy-out option + €4m bonuses and 10% future resale - are hardly a pittance if they buy him from us.

By the way, I've been reading about Paqueta being linked to Man City for €100m in recent weeks and I have absolutely no regret about him, just as I'll have with CDK.

Paqueta is no way worth anything more than 40 mil.

the same guy we've always had here

and theres still plebs here that think cdk is fodder

what poor man management this was man what the fuck

that bald alcoholic should be arrested and questioned on what exactly he was thinking with cdk and adli... moron

the guy wasn't given a single chance to play CF, he was never even allowed to drift to the left because thats where leao is when he played as a 10. i have so many quesions. this guys characteristics + movement were perfect to complement leao

in some ideal world we get de zerbi and cdk comes back next year after banging 15-20 goals for atalanta

He definitely was fodder last season. And when we let him go you would think we would sign an actual replacement at the same level of potential.

Getting Jovic and letting go of CDK was definitely a mistake. It was sort of pointless, even though Jovic has showed to be a decent poacher, there was always so much potential in keeping CDK and playing him as a striker

A shit coach hurts the team infinitely more than a shit player.

We lost around 10m on this transfer alone within a year. And that's a 22 year old player.

Add a few more million lost from not selling Krunic during summer because Pioli thought Adli wasn't ready until he suddenly became "ready"on a random match day. :proud:

Naw, Ilicic and Gomez had the swag and balls to be a star player, albeit not at a topclub.

Charles is too introverted for such a career. See him more as a Saelamakers type.

Kaka - shy introverted player who can't make it at a top club. :proud:

He is missing way less sitters at Atalanta.
Missing sitters = confidence issues.
Confidence issues = manager not doing his job.

Ironic, huh?
he's missing way less vs frosinone
when we needed him he went hiding like a pussy in big matches

sure, i bet pioli's kind uncle approach destroyed him, and conte's stern attitude will make him perform all of a sudden.
the guy is a midtable player and that's his level. by the way- he missed MANY sitters at atalanta during the beginning of the season.
right now he plays for a team without much expectations, ac milan is a different level.
a player in ac milan doesn't have much time to be instilled with confidence, and the guy got worse as the season progressed.
