I didin't watch Tonali x Real Madrid and today. But in the previous games he really showed some evolution from last season. He was a lot more confortable in the field. He was getting all the basics right, moving the ball around safely, winning almost all of his duels and covering his space like Pioli asked him to do (like dropping in the middle of the CBs sometimes).
I didn't see fancy throughballs and I don't care. Those will come with time.
