The best way to describe Cisse imo is that he looks like he belongs to be there- he hasn't been outstanding and he has made mistakes, but he looks like the moment isn't too big for him, and he looks like a player for this level.

At minimum, he's showing he deserves to be a senior team player, and provides value as a backup

Good first half. Compact and aggressive in retrieving back the ball. Right side with Chuk always dangerous as he can always fire a cross. Left side is so clanky with Estu not having enough pace to do something with the ball. Moreira for Estu will make this Torino defense stretched out

Cdk transfer failing was circumstantial and unfortunate. Jashari is where Brugge really finessed us. Need a real deep-lying playmaker, not this pedestrian.

Who told you he was a playmaker out of curiosity?
Do you want him to be Steven Gerrard or something? Excellent in all aspects of a midfielder and carry the whole midfield on his back?

He's one of the last to shit on and one of the few that deserves a spot.

I'd be more concerned with how shaky our defence is when they breathe on us. And that's been a familiar theme in pre season too..conceding goals from complete unforced errors.

I'd take De Winter off for Gabbia..
RLC off Rabiot
Cisse off for Pulisic/Alexis
Moreira for Estupi but switch him to the right later when Chuku is blowing

I give Cisse some credit that in all his failed attempts that his confidence hasn't stopped him wanting the ball. Makes me think he must be hungry and have confidence. Remains to be seen if he has more ability in delivering a good final ball though.

While not outstanding, I do think Musah has been solid enough, and would be fine to have as a backup for a better player

No surprise we didn’t manufacture many chances with Cisse and RLC comprising 2/3 of the attack.

The system looked strong, which is probably the most promising aspect.

We’d be silly not to try Leao + Pulisic + Moreira + Rabiot with the rest of this starting XI. You replace RLC + Estupinan + Cisse + Musah/Jashari and the quality improves immensely.

First half-impressions:
* Our one-two/quick passing play is exactly what we need against these parking bus-teams (who we struggled against last season).
* Shaky/nervous CB play all over the line, but settled nicely as the game progressed.
* Cisse is raw, but strong and technical! Very exciting prospect. Watching him shield the ball is beautiful (as long as it’s 1vs1).
* RLC is still… everything I think he is.
* Chuk still has some nifty dribbling in tight spaces - can’t tell if it’s his passing or the movement in the box that’s lacking quality.
* Can’t wait to see Rabiot, Moreira, Pulisic & Modric on the field.
* Pavlovic can still do his funny raid run’s.
* Fitz-Jim is an epic last name. Instant jersey-buy, if he was at our club.
* We lack big goal-scoring chances.
