My word, do you see Pedro speeding past Tonali. An absolute tactical mess

what i am trying to say is that we are shit. it doesn't matter which team beats us. We have problems. Monza and Lazio can both celebrate however they like, it just looks weird since they didnt acomplish anything and they know well that in good form we can demolish them.
Well they are provincial clubs, they will celebrate such results against clubs of milan’s level
Just like atalanta did when they won 5-0. I don’t know why you are surprised

That was actually one of the few times he was in position. Unfortunately, even when he did something right for a change, he still found a way to make a mistake.

Before they sat back in the second half, the first 60 minutes was Lazio continuously running an almost identical pattern to eventually get zaccagni the ball to take on Calabria. Rewind the tape and we will see:
1) reset from defence, even as far back as provedel
2) play out from the back to the fullbacks
3) play the ball centrally to sms/Alberto/cataldi
4) one of those three play it out wide to Pedro or Anderson drifting to the right wing
5) combine with sms/Alberto
6) switch play to zaccagni and he skins Calabria - the one time they deviated on this last sequence is when Alberto played zaccagni through one on one with tata with a perfectly weighted pass

Literally, the same pattern for the entire first half and first 20-25 minutes of the second half. We couldn’t adapt because they were all over us when we had the ball and they were so quick and precise with their combination play in midfield and primarily on the right wing. Zaccagni put in a shift pressing as well. Him and cataldi were all over messias and Diaz, especially messias, when we attacked on the right.

Reminds me when we played inter two seasons ago and they were spamming conte’s remote control pattern of play the entire match decimating us 3-0. Pioli is too experienced to not make adjustments to an obvious scheme an opposing manager is deploying for extensive periods of the match. If laymen couch managers such as myself are seeing that the opposition are disrespectfully doing the same thing over and over again, capitalizing on the fact that you have no tactical answer for it, Pioli is definitely aware of this. If he’s not, we have an even bigger problem on our hands and it’s totally beyond the scope of player quality at that point. :PThinking:

Also renewing Pioli was a grave mistake. We should have let him compete for the title this season and if we are still in it by week 33 maybe consider renewing him. Given how this season has gone there is no chance we would have renewed him if we didn't already do so.
Yes, we should have sacked the manager who won us our first title in 11 years. Great logic.

And if he does badly the next year, what then? You idiots, we should have re-signed him earlier!

Son has been absolutely pathetically shit this year. Even worse than Messias and Salad.
true, but it would fit this season if he plays his best games against us, just like these chelsea fuckers.

If he does badly this year then you don’t resign him.

There is no reason to give him a longer contract when they did. He could at best repeat last season then you renew him or do what he is doing now in that case you look for a capable coach.

We could be outside top 4 in the next 2 match days maybe people will realize we are in a potentially dire place.

Hopefully Pioli can stop the bleeding somehow

How has he not proven he's a capable coach?

He's literally the best manager we've had statistically since like Capello and he's not had a generational team like others may have done.

People act like he fell into a Scudetto and then also say that Inter were miles better and so were Napoli. They take absolutely any agency from Pioli.

Pioli came in and was our best manager since Carlo.

Is Tuchel incapable because of where Chelsea ended up under him?

Pioli definitely isn't a terrible coach, but his main weakness is that he is always slow to react to our difficulties on the pitch.
It always takes him 3,4,5, matches before he realizes there's a problem and tries to fix it.

Our midfield isn't working. Our defense is exposed.
Maybe he thought that it was a psychological issue and that we would get over it.
But now that it's 0:7 from the last 2 matches - time to make changes.

I can agree with this.
