I can totally see that, but I think the issue is that there are games where he decides he isn't afraid and really does take over a game.It’s not laziness it’s because he’s timid. Some players have the tools but don’t see the field quick enough or they just don’t have the competitive edge like that. Could be his injuries too made him hesitant to put his head down and push through contact like he’s capable of. Every coach he’s had dating back to the prem seems to think they can make him into a great player and he fails. I thought he would work coming into a slower serie a but he just doesn’t have the mentality.
Maybe he should try Germany, with the more open style and emphasis on counters, he could probably be deadly there?
