My source has been a couple of hours at Casa Milan, this is what is coming out

Our choice is now in favor of Rangnick and Glasner: a three-year project (or a 2+1 coach, it makes little difference) for a complete overhaul from the ground up. A sporting director will also arrive (Rangnick will be head of the technical area) and a head scout, plus a series of other figures who will work for them, including at youth and Futuro levels. Milan will be completely handed over to this structure, like restaurants or clubs. At the end of this construction process, Cardinale will stand aside and watch, as Ibrahimovic should. Ibrahimovic's war was (is) with Allegri; rather than being the one to lead AC Milan, Ibrahimovic can go back to his business, acting as a sort of Milan ambassador and perhaps showing up as little as possible

Announcements are expected between Friday and Monday. Of course, anything can change until the announcements are made, but this is the current position.

After the announcements, transfer market events will be considered.

The training camp at Milanello will be on Monday, July 13th, with training on the outdoor pitch like every year. It remains to be seen whether the project will be presented on that date (currently believed to be the case) or earlier.
And how many players are already out the door? Any news on that?

Would be funny as fuck if United Unveiled Rafa as their new player at halftime or something.

That's some shit I can see those Muricans doing.

as long as ownership is still going to pretend like we are a “top” team, they will continue to try to get some sort of “star” to satisfy the fans.

These “stars” will come here entitled and act accordingly -> prima donna egos

That's precisely why Rangnick matters so much to me. Because above him there would only be Cardinale, right, who couldn't tell you the difference between a football and a rugby ball and whose only frame of reference for a potential Milan star player is probably Pulisic who we already have. Which means no more "ownership" in the Furlani sense to begin with, no more one man pursuing his own agenda under the guise of representing RedBird's interests if Zlatan gets cast aside too.

That role would fall entirely to Rangnick as TD and head of football. Which in practice means one thing: nothing gets bought or sold without his say. That's the structure. That's the whole point otherwise yes, God knows what "the ownership" will do with Glasner.

My first ever Milan game I watched live. Pre season at Giants stadium. Think it was 04.
16yo me, in the US for only 1 year. Went alone from NY to NJ to go see the team in my first ever stadium experience.

Right now, you give me free tickets and they’re playing 3 blocks away…I’ll think about it.

You're describing to me concepts I'm well aware of. The question isn't that he be "ripping" it up and scoring goals and getting assists, rather, if thats not the expectation then what are you seeing that sets him apart?

He doesn't really do anything at a high-level from what I can see be that tackling, positioning, work rate, shooting, passing, pace, etc... he comes off as a mature player though, he doesn't seem overawed by the level as you mentioned in his pre season appearances. However, that to me isn't enough to make it in high-level football, its only enough to impress old Italian managers who value tactical aptitude over technical and physical gifts.

I remember watching Bryan Cristante in the primavera and saying he would play for gli' azzurri... avevo ragione. I remember seeing Locatelli in primavera and saying he would play for gli' azzurri... avevo ragione ancora. I don't really see it in Comotto, but I hope I'm wrong.
The fact he has good character, and is getting minutes at 17 is reason enough to be positive about him developing into a good player.

It must mean managers who see him closely and are much more knowledgeable than us believe he has enough

product of their time. i dont glorify them... just thought it was a cool shoot given the history&culture of the place
They definitely stuck out for their behaviour in the 9th and 10th century in a negative way. The standard of the time was definitely rougher but the vikings were looked down on during their time as well. (I mean vikings in the sense of the raiders/pirates not for all nordic people)

But yeah definitely it makes absolutely sense to use it for a shoot.

Rangnick would indicate a real change in direction. One that's reminiscent of what Germany did at the national level some years ago. A real up-rooting of the system. It's what all of Italy needs, actually. But the dinosaurs there, are too proud and too busy admiring their history, to see the real need.
I hope we follow through with it. If so, we will be ahead of the others. Because this type of change is inevitable. It's just that, it might take another 10 years of mediocrity for the rest of Italy to finally see the writing on the wall. Or rather, they do see the writing on the wall, but they are clinging on to the old ways (and power). We'll see for how much longer.

For us, if we do bring in Rangnick, I hope that it's done with the idea of a REAL project. Meaning, give it time to play out and to actually see effect of the changes. Because I don't think they'll be immediate.
BUT, knowing our owner and seeing the mass changes he likes to do every year....the idiot might come in next year and say..."oh look, I brought in Rangnick, gave him full control, and we still didn't win the Scudetto ...therefore, fired!!!".

And we start year zero gain....

…until we change direction again in 2 years.

Wanna say we are directionless, but au contraire, we have so many directions.

too many great players to list but if pushed all time favorite player: Maldini
This is how everything goes now. All movies are reboots and remakes of existing film franchises, often times ones that have pretty recent releases. The endless marvel films that have been terrible for years now are a good example. There are good films here and there but most of it is shoving existing brands down our throats. Because they don’t care about quality, they just want to put out whatever will sell. And selling names that people already recognize is easier than talking a chance on an unknown.

The people at the top who push all this are more to blame like you said.
Exactly the Sundance film festival tried to break this trend years ago in order to give new directors, writers and actors with new film concepts a chance amongst the noise of the Hollywood promoted films.

Sadly overtime that too has been swallowed up into the same Hollywood noise. A lot of music I listen to across various different genres would rarely be heard unless it finds you by accident or you are searching for something outside of the promoted chart music or what would be described as popular music.

It’s not unkown music but lesser known or lesser promoted music. Or as I like to call it musicians with talent. There are a lot of them out there and there are some great films too you won’t hear about them in mainstream promotion though, as they are too busy promoting talentless cash cows.

There are a lot of factors that have brought this about, people’s attention span, their willingness to simply accept what’s on offer and not look to see what else they could be watching, listening to or experiencing.

Content to be spoon fed, vegetate and watch shitty reality tv shows or brain dead tv as I call it etc. Stop watching or listening to the shit and it goes away.

The Milan "tanti auguri" wishes? I appreciate them, but at this point in my career, I feel like a ‘happy birthday’ or a ‘feliz cumpleaños’ would represent me better.

I’m only a bitch for two people. One is by choice (and out of undying love), the other…well, I don’t know. I’m the president of his club, though, so that’s rad, I guess.
