Oh hell no

Kane... for scoring penalties???

If England win it should go straight to Bellingham.

He's carrying the team on his back.
He has 73 goals this season already

If he wins the World Cup on top of that, it’s a no brainer

He is a (very very very) good version of prince boateng
Was going to say nocerino lmao

Like a very very good version of nocerino with even more stamina, far better shooting ability, way better passing range. But he can’t dribble much either.

Love that comparison. One major difference though is balance. KPB was always a little bit wobbly. Jude is very stable.

As someone who generally really dislikes English football, there's only three players that I've really enjoyed over the years.

Wayne Rooney (what a player!)
Phil Foden (so talented and fun to watch)
Jude Bellingham (saw him live twice in CL. I will never forget the way he can dominate a game from the central midfield)

Before the match people were acting as if France were about to face 11 guards from Epstein Island, not the nation that regularly beats them.

Football identity and tactical/technical discipline >>> 5 skilled attackers
Tbh individually Spain are not on that level but they are well coached and approach matches like a club team

Just control every aspect of 90 minutes

I thought they would struggle because their attack has become toothless again with Yamal out of form and Nico hurt but they’ve had just enough

Agreed with the list but I will add Irish man Kane.

Kane is far better than Rooney

And olden days I used to like shearer.

All the Italian sports media is reporting that Milan is interested in Mazraoui, 27 year old from Morocco that played for Amorim at Man U. Possibly as RWB, (but can play at both sides), with Salae on the left or viceversa.

I don't know enough about him, watched a couple of Morocco games but didn't pay enough attention, so wonder if he would be a good addition, and if he's fast enough.

We're upgrading some positions but the players we get need to be substantially better than the ones they replace so that we have a better chance at finishing top four or even contend for number 20.

Lol, had no idea about Palestine flag. Who cares about a place that doesn't exist anyway.

Point being, Barca prodigies are dime a dozen. Bojan, puig, enso fati. All were promised to be next thing and yet la masia hasn't produced it since Messi. High rise quick fall, their knees usually don't hold up unless you give them the Messi growth hormones.
The next 'world class' is Olise in my book.
If we're talking about 'football IQ', look at Pedri at age 21. Already performing consistently for Barca and Spain.

Cubarsi is 19 as well ffs. Despite not being fast or bulky has shown awareness and understanding of potential threats by France. Has contained Mbappe, Barcola and Duoe, who crushed previous defences.

Yamal, who was impressive in CL as well, has dribbling ability, speed, and technique. Hasn't shown anything that relates to understanding football at a high level, and time will tell if he will.

Yamal, let me repeat, has had a disappointing WC before this match, a sentiment which I believe dear Massaro also shared and forgot, and hasn't exactly scored a brace/hattrick today. Was lucky to have senior citizen Digne in front of him to abuse, and a mediocre Lacroix to deal with, because given that Saliba would've been on the pitch, France's defence wouldn't look like Sunday league level.

There's a reason why, after the 15' minute mark, all threats and goal situations came from France's left side, and it isn't because Yamal suddenly unlocked his 'limitless' brain capacity and became WC mid-match.

The suffering of Palestinians people means it exists and many people around the world care for them, including Spain.

Yamal...not wrong, quit normal due to an injury he didn't play for 2 months , but he played some decent match and his level has been rising even if against France it was his best game, yeah Theo Hernandez showed up for franche Coach the difference between him and Digne, also made the wrong calls by putting Dembelle as a 10 and and Barcola as a starter they are limited technically.

Shearer was top quality - competed with Nistelrooy and Henry despite playing for a vastly inferior team.
Kane wasted his prime at Spurs - atleast he is getting accolades now. Top striker and his passing is top draw.
Wasn't a fan of Rooney, but he stepped up a level in the 2-3 seasons following CR7 departure. I thought United will fall after CR7 departure, but Rooney kept them at the top by himself till Van Persie joined.
Gerrard was world class but I hate him for Istanbul.
Scholes had an awesome passing range and long range shots.
Have a soft spot for Beckham for his time with us - his set pieces were quality, especially appreciated them since Pirlo had mentally checked out by then.
But my favourite English player is Lampard - Incredibly consistent goal scorer and tactically flexible and was so pleased when his Inter move broke down during the Mou years. Also had a Kaka'-esque taste for goals from 25-30 meters out.

In the performance period considered for Messi's last Ballondor, he was playing with PSG. But it will be highly controversial to give him Ballondor for winning this WC. He can always take the best player in WC trophy - he might get it even if he loses the next game, he has been amazing in this tournament. But Ballondor is for a full season and MLS performances never counted earlier - if that was the case, semi - retired Zlatan and fucking Carlos Vela had amazing numbers in the past.
But, having said that, Cannavaro won a Ballondor for 8 outstanding games in 2006. But it was still somewhat justifiable because he played with Juventus, not any micky mouse league. Ballondor with Inter Miami would be farcical. But there is a positive. These days, sometimes when you google "Inter", it is Inter Miami coming as the first result and not Inter Milan (I know it depends on location, search history etc.). If Ballondors to Messi makes Inter Miami more synonymous with the brand "Inter", please give him the next 5.
Fifa world probably give Messi the Ballon 'd Or
Then Wild would remind me every day that Messi won it 9 times 😭😭😭

Why the fuck Tuchel didn't call Foden, in addition to Arnold, just 2 MC with one 36yo and 3 strikers, very poor decisions made by the German coach.

Gazzetta writes that Pirlo is in pole position to take over the Italy national team. They also write that he meets all the requirements set by Maldini and Leonardo. What requirements? The man has underachieved in every single coaching job in his career

A good player but not the one able to make the quantum leap, though a huge upgrade from Estupinian, I maintain we should go all out for Combiaso.

Requirements:
1. Be a friend of Maldini
2. Be a shit coach
3. Have knowledge about wine

Literally the best possible candidate... No idea what you are complaining for...

He has over a 100 goals... for a midfielder that is incredible. England has always had nice players but for wotever reasons didn't quite click

Rooney has always been class... apart from no10s never seen a striker who is so selfless

So Maldini’s 3 coaching choices have been Giampaolo, Pioli, and now Pirlo?

Not the best taste if I’m being honest

Deschamps bowed to Mbappe's demand for a free role at the expense of sacrificing Olise on RW who had been having a BdO season. Dembele could've switched to left and Mbappe should've been playing as either a false 9 or out & out FW

I think he made a tactical blunder and was incredibly slow & poor in his subs, 3 straight dominating losses to Spain in 3 straight International competitions in last 2 years. That says he had no clue how to combat even a Spain at less than 100%

Was trying to read about Amorim's tactics, and it's pretty complicated. Apparently he uses assymetric wingers - one to provide width and the other would be an inverted one cutting inside. Guess the second role is what he wants Chuk for. Central defender has to be really aggressive and have an aerial presence - so not sure if Gila will play central, someone mentioned here that he is not good in the air. The LCB and RCB are supposed to play a bit wider and cover the opposition wingers etc. etc. He needs a GK good with playing out from the back and a relentless presser CF - guess Maignan and Ramos fit perfectly. Rest of the profiles and requirements are for tactics nerds to read and understand.
My hope is that the players can understand and adapt quickly. One positive is that Cardinale seems to be taking Amorim's inputs seriously.
That’s what Diego simeone does except with 442.

Wing system wise I mean
