Nwaneri would be like a Brahim style deal, but with Arsenal?

On loan to Marseille last season, apparently did very well.

I think he will probably be the most important presence in the squad.

If we're being honest we are a club in need of a 6 time CL winner who can still ball at 41. He led this team in culture last season, together with Rabiot.
I mean he was good sometimes but there were times he wasn't that influential. I think him having a huge CV gave him a lot of good will at times when we might have been more critical

I wouldn't mind Nwaneri, he's very talented. Slots into that right CAM position Amorim wants to use a left footed player in.

Antonello Gioia on MilanNews relates that Franco Baresi, honorary vice-president, wanted badly to be at the opening of training camp on the 13th as he's done for many years, but his health did not allow it. Like everyone else here I hope that he gets well as he represents what's good about AC Milan.

Baresi is one of the old-time greats, a fantastic 20-year career with the club, has won 6 scudetti, 3 UCL titles, 4 Italian SuperCoppe, and 2 European SuperCoppe. One of the most beloved and respected Milanisti of all time, class on and off the pitch.

As a libero and CB, great sense of positioning and anticipation, good in the air despite not being as tall as some his contemporaries, high intelligence, never a scandal or controversy, simply gave his best on every occasion. A quiet man, led by example and dedication to his craft.

I don't know what's wrong with him, there has been no news in that regard, but I hope that he recovers and that we will continue to see him in the stands at San Siro for years to come.

Yes, I agree.

Modric proved that he's no longer perfect last season. In an ideal world I would have a squad of players at the height of their powers. But I'm not going to pretend he is a problem either, I don't think he will play every available minute like last season.

Modric is one of the greats and transmits a great attitude and mentality. He won't and shouldn't carry us in any sense in the next season, but he should be great to have around. Next summer he will retire and our midfielders will have spent another season along one of the greats.

Or perhaps both will have good seasons and give Milan options and proper rotation on the striker front.
It’s nice to have 3 young talented CFs after 15 years without a decent one

If Rabiot stays we need to get another starter next time him, or hope to god Jashari or Ricci step up... This is a long shot!

To be serious, Modric, Ricci and Jashari all need to be rotation players. Getting serious minutes, but not to be depended on.

WB, CD, CM and CAM are all needed to try and win anything!

Unpopular opinion on here but we have some serious talent at this club. In fact we might have e some of thw best u20 players in the world. Question is can we turn them into some of th best over 20 talents.

I agree, but I think one of the biggest problems is the fanbase itself putting enormous and often contradictory pressure on both management and players.

On one hand, we demand immediate results: challenge for the Scudetto, go deep in the CL and basically never accept a transitional season. On the other hand, we complain when someone like Liberali leaves because he wasn't given the minutes, patience and room to develop here, only to go somewhere like Como and show what he can do. You can't really have it both ways.

Camarda is a perfect example. In many other leagues, a talent like him would simply be considered the first backup to the starting striker. He'd get his minutes, start some games, make mistakes and gradually grow into the role. In Italy tho, the instinct always seems to be: "Loan him to some midtable club until he's 22 or 23 and then we'll see if he's ready."

At some point we have to make that leap of faith. If we genuinely believe in Camarda, Comotto, Cissè and the other U20 players, then we have to actually create space for them in the squad. And that means accepting some risk. They won't develop if we buy one or even two experienced alternatives for every starting player because we're terrified of what might happen if, God forbid, Ramos or Pulisic get injured for a month or more.

I mean you can't demand a pathway for young players while simultaneously demanding enough squad depth to make sure we never actually have to rely on them. "Trust the youth" has to include the trust part too.

I'm all for letting Modric and Comotto share the vast majority of the RCM minutes. I have this feeling that Comotto is about to make an exponential leap this season. Maybe that's just me desperately wanting it to happen lol, but there's something about him that really excites me.

I'd sell Ricci tho. He's just such a meh player to me. Even when I go back and watch his Torino highlights, I don't see anything that makes me think there's some special player waiting to be unlocked. Even Fofana offers me more, and I'd be perfectly fine with him as third choice there.

Musah has to go too. He's basically the opposite of what I'd want in that role: zero tactical discipline, very little awareness and almost everything he does seems driven by pure instinct. There's an athlete there, absolutely. I'm just still waiting for the footballer to catch up.

On the left, Rabiot and Jashari should cover the LCM minutes. I actually expect Jashari to look much more comfortable there and much better suited to Amorim's football in general. That role should bring him much closer to what he was doing at Brugge – which, after all, is the version of Jashari that made him the league's MVP in the first place.

I appreciate your thoughts, but I'm not buying Modric and Comotto as the answer to RCM, while trying to get back into the CL, and potentially look to compete in SA and Europe?

RLC, Fofana and Musah can all go, I'm not dying on a Musah hill lol... Ricci for rotation and lists, sure, I'll not lose any sleep either way.

For me we need a starting quality CM, let Modric wind down his playing career, and offer a you hater good minutes as well.

We can hope Jashari explodes... But that's a big IF currently.

Rabiot, Then one from Jashari, Modric, Ricci and Comotto, I'm just not confident that's enough.

A lot really depends on sales. Right now it's hypothetical and steeped in narratives?

The idea of starting ChuK, Modric and relying on Nkunku and Pulisic scares the shit out of me... More so if RLC and Fofana are back up, while Salad plays every minute because we have no real cover there?

Again, holes upon holes, but...

Milan, survey for Ethan Nwaneri.

On the Arsenal footballer there are also Leipzig, Everton and Fulham.

No more English fodder please. Most overrated players in the world

Liberali is doing great with Como, my gut says he will be valued around 30m after a single season of regular football.

The great AC Milano is doing a GOBLOK way of doing business with young players.
when Madrid can earns hundreds of millions managing youngsters, Milan keep losing their talents for peanuts.
(meanwhile keeping the peanut talents inside).
At least we got 3m for him 😅

If Italy want to qualify for the World Cup and also to potentially be able to win in the long run, they need to bring back the 10s and deep lying playmakers.

The tottis, the ale, the Pirlo and ofcourse your 2 great Cbs and full backs

Italy for me never truly had a generational level striker in the mould of prime r9 etc

But the 10s were always great.

less than 5% of oil to Italy is Russia last year and maybe zero by this year

Italy gets oil from libya, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Iraq, US

maybe Pirlo issue is too harsh still but Italy is blocking Russia oil
