This is the first time in quite a while that optimism filters with many on the forum. There are people with agendas that stick to their positions no matter what and see negatives everywhere but in most cases it's human nature to have mood swings depending on results.

I remember and old sports TV program on ABC that covered all kinds of competitions titled: "The Wide World of Sports" that's now a ride at Disney World. Its opening featured triumphs and disasters and a voice-over that said, "The thrill of victory and the agony of the defeat".

That's exactly the kind of fan that I am and I think most of us are as well. From high to low in no time flat depending on the results and when we win I forgive the mistakes made.

This board is very busy now, revitalized by @General that for some mysterious reason seems to have undue influence with our posters, (maybe he buys them off), and @Pingu with his takes from the Articts. They brought us luck but we need to keep away the Mario Reality guy.
Bro, our squad is still shit. :proud:
Jokes and memes aside, if mercato ends today we'll be fighting for EL spots (at best) :proud:

2 is not enough I’m afraid. 3 at the very least.
CD
LWB
AM

But it should be possible especially if we can get rid of Nkunku and Leao.
I think we need CD, LWB, CM & AM if Rabiot is a gonna be played deep and two CM if Rabiot is gonna play AM.
I would also love a good RWB next to a LWB with Chuk & Sale backing them up.

Chuck passed the test? Are you convinced this easily?

I remain with the opinion that Chuck is pure shit
Did he play amazingly well vs United?
Yes

But he had acres of space and time to make those crosses. You give Wild or nonsonoqui that much time and space and they will cross equally well. Also let's not forget the "assist" to Cisse was a wayward shot from Chuck. That's the kind of shooting you'll get under the pressure of a typical league match IMHO

Look man, if he can do this consistently vs the toughest league in the world then I would be happy to eat my words but until then let's not blow our loads over a player who's been complete shit in the last couple of years

Chuck performed the way he performed due to the Rossoneri Field Form equilibrium

Ψᴹ = ∫[(Pᵈ × Q² × Pg^1.7) / (L + D)] · e^(iθR&B) dt → ΔxG + ΔxGC + Ωₘ

Well, that's the reality today, hope that the rest of the mercato brings us good and functional players to better our chances. But it's good to finally get a W even if it's a friendly, particularly against an EPL side that will be playing in the UCL.

"Optimism filters " is a trauma inducing phrase

Also we haven't actually beaten anyone, not really anyway.

Not to be mr glass half empty, but I find it crazy that " we" somehow never learn..this preseason shit simply doesn't matter.

What does matter though is that we are a week away from the season begining and outside of arguably the biggest overpay in serie a history, we've basically done nothing in regards to changing up a clearly poor built squad.

The highs and lows are fine and dandy ,but forgetting about yesterday, what actually merits a positive attitude for next season?

Holy moly, the level of delulu on this one.
I was a Fonseca advocate until now but I understand why management let him go via the journos the middle of a car ride.

Still one of my favourite Milan photos ever.
He used the wrong word. That word is physicality. Yes serie a is far more physical.

Obviously Madrid Barca athletico and the top 6 of epl are quality teams. Way better quality but not physicality wise.

I’m really happy for Amorim and the squad. It’s time to start being positive if for no other reason than it’s still summer and next week we get to start watching our team play again for good or ill and most importantly college football is coming I can feel the aura.
Isn’t your team instagram thot shunting east to west across a continent every weekend. Bring back pack after dark where poor people play exciting football

Pippofan

this is one from the heart

Look… I like you

You’re quirky but full of pith and vinegar

beautiful family, love Milan.

I like you a lot

and I’m personally putting in a serious word with the Confraternita del Rosso e Nero so you so that you can, you know… can see Milan win one or more pieces of silverware before you go to that great big old football pitch in the sky with Baresi and Maradona

but it would help the cause a lot if you did a few things

1. Consider... just consider giving us 1 post of your voice reading one of your posts. Not required homework.

2. posting at a minimum… 15-20 posts per day until the season starts. Minimum expectation. I’m going to need at least one wistful story about you in your hey day per day. Give us the goods.

3. Stop being thankful for friendly wins. Immortality is there. Take it.

let’s you another Milan title

Yeah, suck our dick.

He was positive the entire pre-season. At least he tries, he respects the jersey.

Maignan intentionally extended his vacation to coincide with the end of the mercato so there’s’ no time to move him on once he reports in 20 pounds overweight with a strained calf
That’s my captain.

Pavlo is a typical braindead midtable EPL player. Italian football just doesn’t suit him. He’d fit right into the chaotic nature of midtable English football
He costed the same amount allocated for De Winter while he is stronger than your Belgium Star, if one of them has to leave is the former Genoa not the Serbian.

World Cup was draining. All 4 knockout games were intense...last one vs england has me still smiling (despite fifa robbing us in the final)

Glad to see Ramos has settled well and we spanked united

Who knows this could be a special season.

Forza Milan ❤️
Glad to see our 2 Argentinian fans back and witnessing for the 1st time a message emphasizing their love for AC Milan, I thought you are just Argentina fans not also Rossonero.

You are just spending too much time on Chuk.
I doubt anyone is saying he will be world class.
But he did have a decent loan season & he did decent again with Amorim.
It wont be the first time that a coach squeeze good from shit players.
I think we didnt get a decent offer for him so we obviously decided to keep him as a squad players which i think he earned it.
Would definitely keep him over Estu, Ricci, Nkunku, Santi & co who had a bad season & friendlies.
The same goes for LC.
So the point is LC & Chuk deserve to stay over the list i gave & that doesnt mean they will be great but if a decent offer come for any then we should definitely sell.
Yeah. He is not our biggest problem. By far.

It's fake optimism, ppl are coping in their own ways.
We still have too many holes to fill and we will still suck for the big parts of season.

Having said all that, I kind of like our coach so far. I wish him good luck in this pit created by gerry

Barca pipsqueaks would be bodied by the Udinese and Torino of the world. Half their squad hospitalized.

Chuck imho is a genuine shit player
I will be the happiest to be proven wrong about this because it seems he's going to take a more role in the team..... But him and Terraciano are simply shit. He scored a pretty nice goal vs Real Madrid too ... Doesn't mean anything in the grand scheme of things
