I’m at peace with the fact that it will be Rabiot. I’m much more worried about LCB now.

I’m assuming Moreira is mostly going to play as the RWB. We have enough bodies for most positions now but I still think Pavlovic isn’t built for the football we want to play. Might need to swap him with a more ball playing defender. I have faith that Gabbia can adapt.

At the AM positions we have RLC and Rabiot on the right, and Pulisic, Saelemaekers and maybe even Alpha Cisse if he stays. I’m honestly not sure we need anyone else. We’re probably also fine in midfield if we also get Hojberg.

If there’s money to spend, spend it on a LWB a LCB and a good backup CF.

He certainly isn't scouting and putting names forward. At most, he is giving them a quick look over but I doubt even that.

And why would Zaniolo be a bad signing? When he was available for pretty cheap - given he had pretty decent numbers and fits the exact profile we are looking for - it wouldn't have been a bad signing. We can't spend 50+ on every position.

Why do you think Moreira will play on the right? Amorim seems to be bought into Chuk there. Feel like he’s played the most minutes out of everyone in the preseason all there. Moreira played LWB at Strasbourg under Rosenior before he went to Chelsea and had his best spell there

If Rabiot moves to AM then I imagine a rotation AM/mid will be added and a superstar CB sure

To sign Hojbjerg - I think we'd need to sell Fofana, Ricci and Musah. I think Musah ends up staying, sadly. Or we let Comotto go on loan.

Is Hojbjerg a workhorse? I think that's probably what we need in a 2 man midfield. That's what worries me about Modric. But Jashari suits it at least.

Tonali is a dream signing in the way I think this team is being built. If things go well, we may only need 1 signing next summer. Let it be Tonali.

Just a gut feeling. We loaned Athekame so right now there’s a big hole at RWB and Chukwueze is the only one that’s playing there since Amorim made it clear he sees Saelemakers mostly elsewhere. I’m sure Moreira will play a lot of minutes at LWB, but I get the feeling he’s the ideal form of player that we want Chukwueze to be, so it’s good to have two of them to rotate.

I don’t know, Rabiot will be used everywhere, but if I was building the squad right now I’d rather use him at AM and spend crazy money to fix the genuine holes in the squad, and play Modric and Jashari in the middle.
