Yeah I think it's really clear that Moreira is the primary LWB and Chukwueze is his backup. This is especially true if we don't make any more changes to the wingbacks in the squad. It will be Bartesaghi/Estupinian on the left, with Moreira/Chukwueze on the right. Moreira can play both positions of course, but it seems likely he's here primarily on the right. Amorim just confirmed he's a wingback, and Diego said in the interview that his position in the squad is 'right wing' which is just a way of saying right wingback in a 3421.

If our bullishness is predicated on the Man Utd game, regardless of today's result for them, that worries me.

We will get more of an idea (not anywhere close to the full picture) tomorrow of where we are and I am genuinely rooting for Amorim to be the transformative figure he was at Sporting.

The gabbia hate is weird.

You get what you get with the guy, but he tries and doesn't make as many brainfarts as the rest of the defence.

He'd be one of the first names on my sheet in the absence of anyone levels above him.

I've defended Barte LOTS... He's not an issue, if he has a more experienced, better player to compete with.

Going into another season with Barte and Estupinian is another shortcoming from this management team... They still have a little time to address it though.

Ramos over three seasons at PSG- 131 games, 41 goals (0.34 goals per game)

They've had almost identical international careers too- Kean has 13 goals in 26 games for Italy, Ramos at 11 in 27.

Kean has also had a 19 goal Serie A season. And he's only 1 year older than Ramos.


I'm not a huge Kean fan, but its simply not true to say that Ramos is a "much more decorated player", they're on quite similar levels

Hes had one season where he scored 19 goals, other than that he never got over 10. Also failed to deliver at every big club he was at.

Ramos played in the CL finals and scored in a penalty shootout. Also being younger, he already has 3 seasons of scoring over 10 goals, where he wasnt even the main striker.

Id say there are levels to this.

Kean has had much better NT opportunities and you are conveniently leaving out his extended barren spells.
