Curious lack of Zlatan so far this season.

During his watch along Kush said the whole beh beh beh bout Zlatan doin this, Zlatan doin that is nonsense pure bs. No operational duties at all since a long time.

He also called out the Longonis, Vitiellos an the whole negativity squad for spreading false info bout Rabiot wantin to leave cause he's Allegris guy. Pure bs. Rabiot basically confirmed that after match in mixed zone interview.

95% of the news pieces is bs.

The Confraternita should blacklist Longo, Longoni, Mazzara, tuttoshit, vitiello and 'the worst is yet to come' guys.

But but but just imagine a world where we have Cisse and Liberali, and no RLC, because we didn't continually "see something in RLC"...

View attachment 63922

No RLC, but 2 club trained Milanista developing well in the side...
Yes, a world where the club thinks long-term, a board that will tell the fans to fuck off if they don't believe in the project, a club that will sacrifice a season if necessary, but in return secure 2-3 midfielders, 1-2 center-backs, a goalkeeper, and a striker for the next 8-10 years, or at least players who would only leave for an absolute fortune.

Estupi defending is a disaster waiting to happen.
Good teams will punish him easily.

Besides his brainfarts, the way he was outpaced on a Torino counter yesterday was pretty much embarrassing.

He was outpaced but he swapped with Pavlovic to avoid a real problem. Generally his movement wasn´t bad and he supported Cisse a lot, also with underlapping him which lead to him having more space.

Don´t get me wrong his spot is up for grabs, but overall he was ok and I don´t see a problem with giving him that. And it is not like we will face that many teams of a better level in EL.

Waiting to happen? It’s been happening in every game since his arrival. The guy is fodder

Hope this is true. He can fill both wingback positions, is very good defensively so I see him primarily as LWB if Moreira/Chuk play in a more advanced role on the right.

Getting him on a favourable deal and shipping Pervis out would be very smart move. Then finish the CM with Hojbjerg and splash the rest of the available cash on top CCD (e.g. Dias if available?) and we're set for ingoings. Cheeky loan + option for Zirkzee and we're set.

There's no way they end the mercato with just Ramos and Camarda as the CF options, right? But again if they get someone experienced, won't that suffocate Camarda? In an emergency who could play CF? RLC? Someone from Futuro?

I'd just keep Santi at this point, especially if the only offer on the table is a loan + option. He was scoring for fun in the Eredivisie for back-to-back seasons and did it in the CL too, even against Bayern Munich. There's clearly a player in there who can do good things, while at the same time he's still within striking distance for Camarda to genuinely challenge him and push each other for that back-up spot behind Ramos. And most importantly, Santi is already here. Keeping him costs us nothing, replacing him does – and I'd much rather spend whatever money we have left on actual pressing needs like a starting CCB.

Yesterday we played a great game. The last couple of times we struggled hard both in season opener's, and new coach debut matches. Last season was the worst for me as a fan who is supporting Milan since 2007. All our matches were dull, low intensity, no courage, no will to win, giving up the first halfs completely. Yesterday was the complete opposite of that. I was so happy to see that we play with high intensity, high pressing, controlling the game.

The first half was fantastic - 73% posession, with 10 shots to Torino's 1. We completely suffocated them. After the Rabiot-Modric double sub, the goals came in quick succession. In the last 15 minutes tho we were dead tired, and this is something to be improved on.

Maignan - The goal was not his fault. He was good, there were some situations where he stopped Torino counters. Also a reference point in our buildup. He didn't have any saves.

Gila - Great game by him. He is aggressive, and stopped some Torino runs that could have lead to dangerous counters. He is great at buildup, great at controlling the ball, and distributing it. What I like in his passing is that he hits it with the right power - not overpowered, not underpowered, just perfect, so the receiving teammate can controll the pass easier. In the end, Njie destroyed him, and was forced to sub out. It is a good news that it was just a precaution.

KDW - In the beginning, he had a horrible clearance, that lead to Torino's only chance in the first half. Other than that mistake, I think he played a solid game. He was better at the CCB, after the Gila-Gabbia sub, KDW played as a RCB, where his performace dropped a bit.

Pavlovic - He was our worst CB yesterday. But that doesn't mean he had a bad game. I didn't see much of his trademark runs, and in posession, he is our CB with probably the worst passing. But it is worth mentioning that from his side, Torino didn't create any attacks. So he did his job defensively well.

Chuk - Once again an easy MOTM for me. I am ready to forgive Chuk from his previous fodder status, and give him a clean reset. If yesterday this exact same performance was delivered by Moreira, we would all praise it to the moon, and say that even the 50 mil was a steal. Due to previous stinkers, I understand why many are still not confident in him. But for me, Chuk is now a new player.

Jashari - Solid display. Both him and Musah was bashed a lot, but I don't really understand why. Jashari was not flashy yesterday, but did the much needed dirty work. He had a couple of nice long ball switches, and also great at pressing. There was a similar situation as with the first goal in the United game - Jashari pressed the CB, and win the ball back in a dangerous area. The ball went this time to Cisse, who butchered the chance.

Musah - He also had a good game. I am not in there yet with Musah where I am with Chuk. He is still under close watch for me, but the signs are promising. That first goal was 50% Musah's great dribbling under pressure. He had a similar situation in the first half, when he dribbled 2 Torino players near our box. These were usually the situations he stupidly lost the ball in the past. If he can keep this up, than for sure this is a valuable skillset to have in our squad.

Estupinan - A level below everybody from our team.

RLC - His great preseason lead to a pretty bad opener. Chuk made multiple chances that were butchered by RLC. A disappointing performance.

Cisse - He is good. He seemed like he belongs to this level. The pressing was good, he ran a lot, and managed to get the ball back on several occasions. He shields the ball well, and able to keep the play flowing, and he scored a beauty. The decision making is not there yet, we had many attacks in the first half that could have lead to dangerous chances had Cisse made a better choice. But a promising performance nonetheless.

Ramos - He runs and presses a lot. His workrate is truly top-tier. He held the ball well. There wasn't much service to him yesterday. In the second half, he was denied by a good save from the GK, after a good cross in from Bart, he almost scored back to the goal with a beautiful flick. For the second goal, if Rabiot wasn't there, Ramos was ready for the tap-in.

Modric - This is the way to use Modric. He is 41 years old, so if you play him for 2800 minutes, his performance level will drop obviously. Either start him, and sub out at the 60th minute, or the other way around, and let him play the last 30 minutes. Magnificent from him today.

Rabiot - If Chuk didn't have a monster game, Rabiot would be the MOTM. His sub changed the game, great assist to Cisse, and he made a nice run for the Chuk cross.

Bart - He had 1 nice cross to Ramos, outside of that, a bit invisible game for him.

Salad - He came onto the pitch, and his first action was a successful press to regain posession, that eventually lead to the 2nd goal. After Njie destroyed our right side, Amorim was smart to move Salad to there to stop him, and Salad did that successfully.

Gabbia - Didn't see enough to give him a rating.

This is the way to open the season. Onto the next one, Friday night versus Venezia.

There’s one thing that Cisse did incredibly well where Leao tends to falter, and it was his ability to keep the ball in possession. Torino were pressing us back to goal when we tried to move into the middle third and 9/10 times he would manage to keep it circulating. Leao’s ball retention under pressure is genuinely awful and that would kill a lot of Amorim’s dialled in build up play.

He’s only 19 which is crazy. There were maybe 2 or 3 moments where he showed a bit of inexperience but on the whole he was still excellent. AND there’s a whole season to play still. The sky is the limit.

Underrated post. Leao and Ruben share the same absurd weakness: despite being absolute physical monsters, they're ridiculously bad at shielding the ball under pressure. One of the biggest surprises with Cissè for me is how press-resistant he is. A bit like Pulisic. Neither is exactly a physical beast – Pulisic even less so – yet somehow they're incredibly difficult to dispossess. That's such a ridiculously valuable quality in modern football.

Also, I fucking loved how Cissè just wouldn't stop pressing the shit out of everyone no matter what. Man was giving me serious Rebić regen vibes out there. Is it racist to call him black Rebic?

Zirzke would be a low risk move

He prefers dropping back to play like AM. Even though he has the frame for a proper Cf.

He is like an AM /SS

2-3 y ago musah played solid for most of the times he played, then similar situation in CL where he loses the ball and we lost thT game and were eliminated or didn't go to second round because of that game, and while forum turns against him...if i remember correctly.
Same was with cukuveze he played relatively good, then he injury and after he forgets how stop the ball.
Yeah, that was the Dinamo Zagreb game in the 24/25 season. The game with the rare Gabbia mistake for Zagreb's first goal, followed up with Musah loosing the ball in a dangerous area, and that dragging the attacker by the shirt for a second yellow. After that, Conceicao continued to play his favourite double pivot with Musah and Fofana, and Musah dropped some absolute stinkers so much so that he was subbed off in the first half not only once, but twice actually.

One thing from last night which made me really happy. I was never in doubt that we would win, after furious first five minutes, that i never saw that kind of determination from last year, from controlling the game with confidence, even when we allowed some Torino attacks in first half and in second,I was never in doubt of wining. Last year I was never sure that we will win until the last whistle. Amorim will surprise us all I believe.

The start of the week is much easier when Milan wins.

Am I the only one who thinks Jashari wasn't that bad? True, he wasn't a game changer last night but he was far from terrible. Worked hard and was solid on the ball.

Who says Jashari was bad? Jashari had a good game. Nothing spectacular, but very clean and composed: 46/49 passes completed (94%), including 18/19 in the opposition half and 4/5 long balls. He also produced two key passes despite playing from deep. That's exactly what I want from him – move the ball quickly, reliably and progressively without trying to force shit that isn't there. A quietly encouraging performance.

For comparison, Modric came on in the 56th and went 18/19 (95%) passes completed, including 4/5 long balls and one key pass. So Jashari basically matched Modric's passing accuracy while handling much more volume over the game. Obviously different minutes and game states, but that's pretty damn good company to be in.

Do you know who put tons of energy in the game to? Andrea Poli, salemahers and they were/are mid-level at best. But then again we are slightly above average team so he fits perfectly.

We only beat bloody Torino, lets wait for lazio and juve games before giving praise to anyone

Torino hasn't lost a game at home since last February. It was a hell of a test that we passed with very good grades. Then of course, every upcoming game is a new test. But still, this wasn't "only bloody Torino", brother.
