Yes, he should arrive to Milan for a medical ckeck later this week.

The only problem was that we had to buy him in a pack with Ozil and Ronaldo, all for 5m...

Alonso was only a newspaper thing, he's got no reason to leave Real, and especially to come to Milan (a club that has decreased in quality and is said to be looking for young players)

behead everyone who talks shit about Iran, damn.

We need a CB, a CF and an anchor. Without that we won't win a trophy, maybe coppa, and we'll qualify for CL uneasily.

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::thumbsup: this shit never gets old. :star:

:o but, in this case we should send 2 crates of bananas, since Xavi Alonso will cover two positions simultaneously - anchor and attacking midfielder.
It will be like playing with 12 men. :proud:

@Milanello: Milan have cut their salary expenses by €60m so far this summer - from €190m to €130m, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

For the quality of our squad that wage bill is criminal , absolutely 110% illogical .

130 MIL ???????????????

Are traore Acerbi Constant Mesbah on 3+ wages?

!30 Mil means 4.5 Mila avergae salary. I thought 4.5 was our max contract at the moment.

EDIT- I forgot about the fucking taxes.

I just reported it didn't do any math. But with taxes and the amount of players we have may be true. Its scandalous if true .

Spain now also has a 50% net tax on wages. That should level things out in the near future. :g:

What's the tax situation in England and Germany btw?

It sounds crazy for sure, but also extremely interesting. I want it to happen just to see how it works.

You never know, he's lost pace but he still got the passing, ball controll and vision. The thing that worries me is only the lack of a destroyer and ball winner. I think a Gattuso is needed to make it work. Monto-Kaka-Noce infront of our current defense doesn't look so good.

But offensively...

Monto-kaka-Noce
Boateng
Pato-Cassano/Robinho

doesn't look so bad.

Monty is the only one of those who can play anchor on the highest level.

so

Kaka - Monty - Noce
------- Boa ---------

would be better

Any new Xavi Alonso rumours?

I was hoping you'd bring news , as you promised Milan would sign Alonso and Tevez , well actually you guaranteed it , and said you'd be laughing when it happened .
There doesn't seem to be any talk of those 2 kind of odd that.

He turned down a 38 million bid from Man United and may now go to PSG.
Alex Ferguson is furious.

He should be. That price is so unreasonably fucked up. Another reason why a working FFP is desperately needed.

Does that imply for contracts signed from this year or the taxes will be valid for the existing ones as well..?regarding spain

As i England i think they also pay close to 50%..

Unfortunately, the tax doesn't apply for older contracts. (pre-2011 I think)

With all the senatores and major earners leaving I expected a much greater reduction to be honest, but I guess we're on the right track.

BTW: there is nothing wrong with a high wage bill if that is reflected in squad quality. But we know were it went wrong. The money that Galliani and Berlusconi saved on transfer sums was lost on the high salaries to lure and keep high profile players to San Siro.

Daily Mail, L'Equipe and others report on Lucas Moura who's been sought by Inter and others.
He turned down a 38 million bid from Man United and may now go to PSG.
Alex Ferguson is furious.

almost 40 million for a 19 year old player...

How much would the Pato of 2007 cost in today's market? I'm sure Milan would not be able to afford him.

I shouldn't of limited to Brasilians .But Soith American players young 18-22 usually flourish more in Spain and Italy , Portugal even France.Once they hit 26 they are good anywhere if very talented .But they just don't know how to nurture talent , it's as if there they Coach skill out of young talented players , play the easy pass let the ball do the work , don't mind flashy stuff you must be fast strong and brave.
Which surprised me at club level , because lets be honest there isn't much English in the EPL , without foreign players and foreign money they'd be like they were in the 90's learning footballing lessons from Europes minnows .
Foreign players help all leagues but the amount in the EPL is more than Spain Italy or Germany .

i don't know. maybe you're right. i don't think monto has played anchor in a 3 man midfield at the highest level, or maybe i haven't seen it. but obviously, since montolivo is a midfielder, one would put him at anchor instead of an attacker.

like i said in my post, kaka at CDM isn't a given success, and we probably lack the players needed around him to make it work. i just think it's interesting and something new and there's a possibility for success since kaka got the characteristics needed to do a big part of the anchor role.

Football italia reports that Milan’s attempt to take Edin Dzeko on loan has failed , as Manchester City want only a €31.5m permanent deal.

Didn't they buy him for less than that?
