Yeah, Cigarini would be an ideal Montolivo replacement, though I'm not sure where that would leave him when Montolivo returns in January. Maybe if he's good Pippo will show some tactical flexibility and play a 4-4-2 or some shit who knows.

Maybe move Montolivo up as AM, isn't this his "real" position anyways?

Inter are seriously the worst when it comes down to grooming young players. They always had a solid youth system, but for various reasons, their young starlets are sold prematurely and they eventually turn out to be quality players elsewhere lol.

Hm. Strange that I recall Prandelli playing Monty as some kind of a deep- lying AMF- role back around 2008 when Viola had a bomb-period with ChL and shit.

Bonucci, Bolzoni, Meghiorini, Destro, Cigarini, Biabiany, Pirlo(?)...Such talent, much waste. Wow!

Kovacic is being wasted too, not from Inter Primavera I know, but a kickass talent that is wasted just because of the incompentence of Walter.

Yes, very strange that you would deem Monto's natural position on games played 6 years ago...

Monto prefers to play as regista. He has said this himself countless times and he also plays best there as well.

I still don't see him as a natural regista, but have to state I by no means want him to get benched because of some Cigarettini. Was just speculating.

Cigarini would be a good cover for Monto and a good player to have, however, I don't see Atalanta letting him go cheaply.

Ofc Mexes doesn't want to leave. Why should he take less money when he is guaranteed 4m and he is most likely coming off the bench. It's not like he will make national team or win any trophies anytime soon. Better to collect a check.

Adriano had crazy potential, could've been better than Ronaldo, they were both similar talent wise but Adriano was superior physically

cigarini is good option to replace Monty. He has experience, good player. when Monty will be return, Cigarini is solid back up and if we buy class midfield in next season, then cigarini still very useful

Cigarini would easily be a starter in current Milan, especially with Montolivo out
He's nothing special but he's not a bad player (unlike so many of our players), wouldn't mind him playing here

Cigarini is co-owned by Napoli and Atalanta I believe. I don't think it would be that hard to get him.

What has Mexes got to lose, if we look at it from his point of view? He can sit on the Milan bench, behind Alex and most likely Rami, fill in occasionally, and make a healthy profit before a new windfall contract elsewhere next summer.

It makes me sick that 'footballers' would rather sit on the bench then actually play the sport 'they love'.

He will do the same thing at PSG too. He would sit behind Thiago Silva and David Luiz. If he stays hopefully he lowers his salary.

Milan doesn't need to sign anyone.

Inzaghi is such a phenomenal coach he can just win the scudetto with what we have. That's why we hired him, no?

Sport Mediaset and TMW say Pato could be close to Napoli.

Roma looking to get Iturbe and Romulo from Verona. They are also trying to get Sturaro from Genoa.

Milan scouts are even more impressive. Vergara, Salamon, Saponara and Niang are all world class talents. They'll take positions 1-4 in Ballon d'Or 2020.

Cittadella have bought Milan's half of Lora.
Milan now have 11 co-ownerships to resolve (some of them are very close to being finalized).

it is odd to see all co owned players till now and most of them will be sold even verdi and paloschi are close to be sold

if he doesn't succeeds, we can always replace him with Brocchi in december

so we can pay for 4 managers at once

We already hav too many average players in our squad, especially on defence and midfield. No need adding an average player like cigarini. Rather, we should save all the $oney we can in this window and get a great young midfielder. Regardless of montolivo's injury,we need a different kind of creative central midfielder to keep our midfield ticking. Thiago is gone, Ericksen is gone. Rakitic is also gone. I think we should try for sergi Roberto in baecelona. He's 22,has one year left on his contract and has a buy out clause of 20million euros. I'd'rather we spend all we hav this summmer in buying him and another good young defender than all these average players who dont raise the level of our team.
