Seriously?... We went from not spending a dime to all of a sudden going for kramaric, khedira and co.. Yeah right.

I think it's a good idea not to expect too much here. Yes khedira and kramaric are out if contract at the end of the year but they also would be in demand and command a fairly high wage or at least khedira will.

The hard thing is we're not exactly setting the world on fire with our results and there is a very real possibility that there will be no Europe again so that makes it tough also.

The thing is if we sign these types of players we would be showing some actual intent to improve and it may lead to other players being attracted to the project.

There aren't any CBs in Serie a that really stand out at the moment apart from Manolas. Alex has been just as good as most of the others in the league and Rami has been fine.

That's my point when i say some of the players are getting older and replacements will be needed. In terms of depth though, most of the squad would be really good (minus our CB options).
