Ndicka (free), Gundogan (free), Baldanzi (15m), Chukuweze (15m) + new CF (30m) would be a BOSS mercato.

Not gonna jump the Moncada wagon yet, but Ndicka, Thuram, Chukwuedze… all the right names so far 👍🏻

Bouanani kid looks VERY promising. Hopefully Moncada monitors him
Yes...ideally I'd like to sell BOTH Messias + Salad and replace them with Zhegrova/Chuk + Bounani for c.20-25m combined. However, we'd probably need a big sale in order to fund a complete RW revamp amongst other priorities.

The black hole or not is the profit or loss in the yearly balance sheet. Milan is supposed to be in profit for the year. Now Inter has spent huge amounts on salaries of players like Lukaku, Hakan, Dzeko. That money spent on salaries is gone forever, it's a real black hole.

Now if you just look at transfers, Milan could still sell CDK for maybe 20 mil and get most of the money spent (32 mil ) back. And then if you look at the valuation of Thiaw, it must have increased by at least 25 mil which is more than the loss on CDK. So even last year's failed mercato in purely money terms is net positive!
Yes that's why I said Cardinale won't rest until he claws back as much as possible from CDK's probable sale and I don't blame him.

The guy couldnt score 1 goal all season .... missing open nets more than once
Even useless Origi scored and Saelly and Calabria who cant hit the ocean while standing on the shore scored

There is transition and adapting and then there is mental shutdown which is why I was all for shutting him down and giving him a fresh start next season to see. The excuses for his complete futility though are mind boggling.

I too cringed everytime he was subbed on, but don’t compare him to Origi please, Origi doesn’t give a shit, that’s that. I’m just saying maybe we were too hard on him. New league, different position, coach that don’t want him, what more do you need for him to break down completely ? Would some others rise above the situation ? sure, but his age ain’t a good factor either, god knows I’m not supporter but we have to be fair here.
Man that last game vs Verona something was cookin for him, same as it was for Tonali first season, we need to give him another chance and Pioli needs to play him in his right position.

Outlier? Come on.

Oh, if Pioli doesn't deliver he'll be out? Great. Pioli will get a year to stunt the growth of the young players who come in, and the ones who breakthrough will have to wait until the inevitable injury crisis that hamstrings our season, and we'll watch them fire Pioli, who may or may not figure out that maybe passing and possession are useful tools against bottom half sides.

FBT wasn't a prospect though? FBT was brought in when we had Theo Hernandez. His role was to be backup.

When Adli was bought we had a Hakan-sized hole in our team and Brahim Diaz was brought in during the fantasy transfer committee timez when Moncada was still being listened to, apparently. We needed players in that role. He's one of the brightest Ligue 1 talents (Moncada is supposed to like French talents, yes?)

So, no, FBT is not the same as Adli, because their purchases have completely different contexts. Hauge got more playing time than Adli. Hauge.

You aren't putting Pioli and Maldini in the same boat, I'm sorry. Pioli gave Dest, someone who doesn't know the handball rule, more time than Adli.

What good is this collective vision if Pioli is still the man in charge? He wasn't involved in the 2019 window when GP came in, and he seemed to make that team work--wasn't it during the period post lockdown when Pioli did not select a single player in the squad that we had our best period?

I dunno man. It's not just Adli, it's a whole host of things, how he uses Giroud, how he used CDK (who I never liked), Pobega, Vranckx, and on and on.
I don’t think Adli was purchased with this intention of immediately coming in and starting. Didn’t he play deeper when we first bought him? In fact to this day I may think that’s his best role. He cost 7 mil ffs. He may have been a Bennacer type in their eyes, who knows. And Ballo Toure does fit the idea, not in terms of some young 18 year old youth prospect. He was a player they thought had some traits(mostly speed and ability to add width hence vice Theo) they believed was being undervalued in France. They knew a 5 mil transfer could fail. They knew Adli could fail too. That’s what I’m saying.

And don’t tell me I’m not putting Pioli and Maldini in the same boat when I’ve said 100 times I didn’t want Maldini to be fired. Some of you are making it a Pioli vs Maldini thing, which I understand, but you also fully ignored the last portion of my message. Maldini asked for more power, we know this to be fact basically. And I also clarified that it could be for better or worse, I’m just saying that it is what it is. What I’m doing is moving on because I still believe in the potential of this team. I think Maldini will be missed but we can still grow. Like I said, it’s not a bad thing for everyone to be back in sync. Even if the wrong person had to leave.

Chuk will cost more than 15m surely

I'm guessing 25-30m range even if he's on his final year

There will be more money now then for paolo
Lol imagine if they gave Moncada a 100m+ mercato just to spite Paolo that bit more.

I certainly wouldn't put it past Cardinale who shocked me with his ruthlessness!

Maldini never was their man to work,Moncada is maybe they give him more money who knows

Maybe more money in total however we won‘t spend more than € 30M on a single player. We will rather try to spread the risk.

No, FBT does not fit the idea, because unlike FBT, Adli was in a Ligue 1 team of the year, with Maignan, partnering Tchouameni. Yes, he did play deeper, and was Adli ever tried there, even during pre-season? No. Pioli tried him as a winger though, several times, in fact. Did we have a problem with the midfield, in terms of numbers, perhaps Adli could have been tried there? But he wasn't. I mean, jeez man.

The only reason Adli was cheap was because we agreed to loan him back to Bordeaux and they had huge financial problems.

I'm not making it a Maldini v Pioli thing--before Maldini was fired, I was bashing on Pioli. Pioli has been on my last nerve. Not just for Adli, for his basic setup and tactics.

So for me, I question Pioli's ability to get the best out of the squad.

I regret supporting Adli openly. I should have kept that one inside. That's why I'm not going to be excited or support any transfers, Kamada has already been tainted by me, so I'm just going to wait and watch.
