It's basically rock-paper-scissors logic. We're good against certain types of teams, and weak against others. Inter counter us very well. We counter Napoli very well.

The issue is the midfield.

Inter’s midfielders especially when we play Diaz as CAM is miles miles miles better than us. That’s where they destroy and overpower us.

Midfield is the most important position in modern football. If we get proper midfielders we’ll reduce the chances of having bad matchups. Elite midfielders allows you to control the game, create chances, stay compact and reduce the space when you’re defending. Get elite midfielders and we can beat Inter.

Inter underperformed this season because of their attackers, but they always controlled the game and created chances, they have the best midfield in the league. IMO one big reason we find Napoli easier is because their midfield is inferior.

Carlo won the CL with 4 midfielders last season. Pepito is playing with 5 midfielders in this CL. Milan in the 2000s played with 4 elite midfielders and that’s one of the reasons why we could beat and dominate any team in the world.

Yet Pioli thinks it’s a good idea to play with 2!!! fucking midfielders and MM think it’s a good idea to provide Pioli with 2 decent midfielders. We had 3 in this season because Krunic elevated his game this season but MM thought it was a good idea to give Pioli 2 good midfielders.

I want 2 great midfielders in the Mercato to play with Tonali. Bennacer/Krunic can be the backups.

Primavera`s season is basically a copy of the first team. Shit in the campaign but an amazing CL run

In the Primavera they are average one year below the others, basically 2005 and 2006 playing against 2004/2003. It is an aimed choice to integrate the youngsters. Next year there is a discussion from the fucks from FIGC to increase the age even further to U20, lets see how it will change our approach.
In uefa league the age was U18 that's why they did so well, they were playing against their age.
On top I think Abate under performed consistently. There are some hot prospects for sure, already discussed.
