Origi was brought for free to help OG.
I mean its common sense if he was a good sub with a better team why wouldnt he be for us ?!
Seems no one expected that there is no fire inside of him.

He wasn't a good sub for Liverpool though.

Barely played and whenever he did, he almost never scored.

I want an Atalanta win tomorrow and hopefully at least a Roma draw. Who knows Inter could lose two and Atalanta win two and Inter could drop out of the top 4. It can happen.

We’ll be third if we win both. If both Roma and Inter win their finals then 4th won’t make it to the CL, which in this case would be Atalanta.

If Roma and Inter win their finals, then 4th spot won't secure CL? Weren't there 5 teams allowed in the CL in this particular case?

5 are allowed. Not 6. If Inter and Roma are not in top 4 and win their finals, then there are 6 eligible teams from Serie A. 4th spot team loses out. Finishing in top 3 is safest option. I am hoping for a miracle and a top 2 finish because I am not 100% trusting FIGC - if they decide that Juve punishment will be effective next season, then we are screwed.

The clause in Rafa's new contract #Leao will only be activated in a precise time window in July. For #Milan , a way to avoid unexpected events in the last weeks of #calciomercato . An article in today's Gazette.

Oh it said aerial duels as a strength so I assumed he’s tall
He’s 1m80.
His playing style is similar to Naingolan, Barca is highly interested in him.
If we could get him for a cheap price, we should go for him. But anything more than 3mil would be too stupid. I want all of our money to be invested too striker.

If both are not in CL places, and both win, then they go to CL and only top 3 join them.

This was a remote possibility but it’s getting a bit more real.

Inter will be on 2 days rest after a difficult midweek match, for some reason they play on Saturday

vs a motivated and well-rested Atalanta side

For once in my life I'm praying Gasp doesn't choke

Imagine they crash out of top 4, then get spanked in the final.

At the very least I want them to lose so we can get 3rd and let them live with the shadow of Juve appeals haunting them over the summer.

Merda losing the CL final and ending up in EL would make this season much better. Would be absolutely hilarious

I don't really care what happens to them

Like you said, I just don't want that Juve appeal hanging over the club's head over the summer. Somehow getting 3rd would solve a lot

Brilliant article from SempreMilan which sets the stage for our summer mercato perfectly. It’s lengthy but well worth a read.

MMM have a huge task on their hands and are under enormous pressure to get things right.

Then a mini league will be created between the 3 clubs iirc.
And I’m quite sure we’d finish top as we have a positive goal difference in our matches against Atalanta and we’re tied with Merda goal-wise.
Depending on the amount of goals Atalanta beat Inter with either of the two of them would finish bottom. Inter beat Atalanta away 2-3 in the opposite fixture so I guess if La Dea beat Inter by 2 or more Inter finish bottom.

Pretty sure this is how it works not entirely sure though.

Edit:
It’s a mini league so I should count points not g/d

Milan have drawn and won against Atalanta and won and lost against Inter = 2W 1D 1L = 7pts

Atlanta have drawn and lost against Milan and in your scenario lost and won against Inter = 1w 1D 1L = 4pts

Inter have lost and won against Milan and won and lost against Atlanta in your scenario
= 2W 0D 2L = 6pts

Milan would finish 3rd, Inter 4th and Atalanta 5th

Milan vs merda vs Atalanta
Milan 3 points vs merda + 4 points vs Atalanta = 7
merda 3 points vs Milan + 3 points vs Atalanta (1 game in hand) = 6, 7 or 9
Atalanta 1 point vs Milan + 0 points vs merda (1 game in hand) = 1, 2 or 4

If this happens we finish first or second.

That's a bit dramatic. Milan already has 7-8 bonafide starters, some nice rotation options, and the best player in the league locked up. All they need is 1-3 quality starting additions and they seem to have a decent budget to find it. They're better off than the competition

And with the way it's shaping up, the league will be MUCH weaker next season. Almost all the top 7 sides will be taking hits one way or another with Milan set to improve. #20 is Pioli's to lose

Yeah thanks I edited my post. Forgot it is points between the clubs and not g/d that counts.
In the post I responded to it was asked what happens if Atalanta beat Inter this weekend in which case Milan finish top.

That’s the problem…can we really trust MMM to find a STARTING quality CM, AM, RW + CF given the transfer budget? Given the epic shitshow last summer I don’t have much faith whilst not forgetting that these are the same guys who signed Theo, Maignan, Leao, Tonali etc. once upon a time. We’ll see what happens.

Also, I don’t really put too much weight on what the other teams may/may not do. We’ve got enough problems of our own and whenever we seem to underrate the competition they always surprise us just like Napoli, Lazio + Inter this season.

One thing I can say is that if they manage to screw up this mercato again, they will be out along with Pioli next summer.

They're both rapists.

Sorry if that went over your head.

I also would not like to hire OJ Simpson even though he was acquitted.

Greenwood was revealed on audio doing all that stuff - the fact that the charges were dropped does not mean he didn't do it.

Us hiring Greenwood would cause an irrevocable hit to our prestige, we would be hiring a rapist who got off the hook.

Pioli for now, hope he improves with a more complete squad, then De Zerbi when the time is right.

The whole "Pioli doesn't play the players until they're ready" is a notion that was bandied about Kalulu. And with Kalulu? I get it. The kid hadn't played a single minute of professional football in his life. So Kalulu? Transition him into the first team, makes sense, honestly, makes sense. Got it. No problem.

Thiaw, Vranckx, and actually, worst of all: Adli? They had experience in the top flight.

The problem is that they looked like they could contribute... from their sub appearances. If we were like 9 points back of Napoli and just couldn't sustain a title push, maybe I'd be more lenient... but he's suffered.

What about Pobega? The kid plays for Torino and gets called up for the Italian national team, in their deepest position by far, and he gets these random and inconsistent minutes? While Tonali and Bennacer are being burnt out? Tonali has been pushed to the limit, he exceeded his entire minute count from last year, weeks ago.

And when it comes to Hauge... Hauge got more time than the other young players we have now. Adli has gotten 140 minutes.

The idea that "well y'know, maybe Adli isn't that good?"

Bro. Adli was in a Ligue 1 team of the year, as a CM, next to... Tchouameni. You know who else was in that TOMT? Mike Maignan.

Thiaw only "took a season" because Pioli wouldn't play him. His first sub appearance he looked like a monster. Vranckx gets to come on, when we're down a man against Sampdoria, and his energy pushes us over the line for a win, and then... doesn't play. The kid wins us a game against Fiorentina... and then doesn't get to play.

I don't care about Hauge, nor do I care about Kerkez--we flipped both of them for major profits, yay Maldini selling, but like... the comparison between Hauge or Kalulu's integration and those of our new crop of young players don't match up. The cynical view of Pioli is that he only turned to his young players because of the insane injury problems (of Pioli's own making) forced his hand to play Kalulu.

At the end of the day, winning cures all, and winning justifies all sorts of behavior. However, the arguments in this case are "maybe they're not that good?" and "the transfer market sucked, Pioli didn't get... Kessie replacement, Hakan replacement, and a center back (oh shit, Thiaw played, nvm)."

Pioli is fucking up against Spezia, we're not talking about Pioli getting out-gunned against Juve or Tottenham.

These young players he has have shown they are worth playing, but he refuses. The fact CDK can suck that much for so long and still get minutes, is mind boggling. Fine, yes, the kid cost a lot, blah blah blah, but Adli was scouted a long time ago, went back on loan, we clearly believed in him enough to put money into him, let him play on loan... to do what? To play 140 minutes? The kid captained his team at 21. He's not a primavera player.

I think there are serious questions to be asked over Pioli's use of his squad this year, I'm sorry.
I agree on your stance on Adli. Most of us were really excited about him when Maldini chose to sign him. At the time when we signed him, his stats were on top 5-10 of all midfielders around Europe and on the pitch, that alone should warrant him more chance on the pitch. He doesn't look off sync with the team at all whenever he's playing a part from a bit of ball hogging. To me, it seems like Pioli is very riggid and stubborn in his tactics, playing the same tactics he used since the covid 19 run 3 years ago. If you add that to the fact that most serie a teams knows how to break down his tactics, makes me think that we would do well to move on from him regardless if he gets top 4 or not. The winning games these days look more like individual brilliance rather than his tactics outplays the other team.

This.
Racism vs Vinicius and Racism vs Diakhaby should be treated equally.
Banners and campaigns don't matter much without solid action.
I think they need to get beaten badly. Like guards should just beat the crap out of the racists. Everyone has a plan until they get hit. Racists just need to get butchered. Nothing better than a good old fashioned beat down. They deserve it.

So basically it’s in our interest not to get to 67 and hope Atalanta beat inter by two goals or more. If that happens then even a draw to Torino is enough for Inter to drop to 5th
