I think at some point you have to stop worrying about the growth decree and just look to improve the team on the pitch any possible way. The law was enacted to attract foreign talent to counter the brain drain occurring in Italy where many of the top scientists and experts in various fields moved abroad. It should not be applied to sports where now Italians are more expensive and don't get the same chances as foreigners. Taxes are too high, anyway, and they should just lower them for everybody.

Let’s say scamacca ends up being a superstar and in a few years we’re paying him 6m net. If we wait a year to get him then we’ll be paying him around 7.7m gross. If we get him now then we’re paying him 11m gross. Over five years that difference is 17m. Not huge, but enough to make a dent.

Wouldn't performances like the last two years consistently increase our revenues even without the stadium? Probably not significantly of course, but you'd think we're becoming a pretty nice partner for sponsors with our current exposure and trajectory.

It's a never ending cycle. Not having a stadium is costing us 120-200 mil a year. Sharing it with printer. It's a farce. Italian frauds. Municipality is absolutely hopeless.

People are very simple. The fact that he's playing in Ligue 2, everyone writes him off. Where were the players who are worth 3 x times him that you're suggesting we should go for instead. Balogun was at a Championship team on loan, barely getting game time and scoring 3 in 18 appearances.

Out of all the short strikers rumoured, I like this guy the most and the cherry on top is that he's a 1/3 the price. More versatile, creates his own chances, beats his man much more than all the others. Perhaps loaning him out to a team in Italy is the way to go. Then when Giroud leaves next summer, he comes back to be 2nd choice and an option on any of the wings.

If anything, I want him to be our RW/back-up LW/CF (Rebic's replacement), not as our main CF.
